Abstract:
A method of fabricating an anti-reflective optically transparent structure includes the steps of providing an optically transparent substrate having a first refractive index and a first surface; and forming an anti-reflective layer within the first surface of the transparent substrate. The anti-reflective layer is made by forming a nano-scale pattern within the first surface defining a subwavelength nano-structured second surface of the anti-reflective layer including a plurality of protuberances having a predetermined maximum distance between adjacent protuberances and a predetermined height for a given wavelength such that the anti-reflective layer includes a second refractive index lower than the first refractive index to minimize light diffraction and random scattering therethrough. The predetermined height is approximately equal to a quarter of the given wavelength divided by the second refractive index. One of nanosphere lithography, deep ultra-violet photolithography, electron beam lithography, and nano-imprinting may be used to form the anti-reflective layer.
Abstract:
A magnetometer with only a SET operation for initiating a magnetic orientation within a magnetic field sensor based on anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) technology. Within the magnetometer, the relative orientations of the respective X, Y and Z axes detectors are maintained by a package in which all detectors are mounted on a single assembly with the Z axis sensor displaced and held orthogonal to the other two sensors by potting material. Shorting bars on respective barber pole structures are provided with a geometry that allows for closer placement of adjacent barber poles to one another. The barber pole structures are deposited in a nested orientation which provides for balanced resistance legs in a Wheatstone bridge construction.
Abstract:
A method for activating a virtual machine, an apparatus for simulating a computing device and a device for supervising activation of the apparatus. The method includes: activating a network interface of the virtual machine, and activating other components of the virtual machine, where the network interface of the virtual machine is capable of communicating with the outside world so activation of the other components of the virtual machine can be supervised. The simulation apparatus includes a network interface and an operating system having a security sub-system, where the network interface is configured to be first activated during activation of the simulation apparatus so the network interface can communicate with the outside world, and activation of the other components of the apparatus can be supervised during the activation of the other components of the apparatus.

Abstract:
The disclosure discloses a Fabry-Perot (F-P) cavity, which is a folded confocal cavity integrally formed by a monolithic optical element, the folded confocal cavity having three reflection surfaces, wherein a first reflection surface is a plane and at the same time serves as an input/output coupling surface, a second reflection surface is a plane, and a third surface is a spherical surface, curvature radius of which is equal to half of a round trip geometric length of light in the folded confocal cavity. The invention further discloses a laser based on the F-P cavity. The solution of the disclosure solves the problems in existing folded F-P cavity, such as unsatisfactory stability, sensitive to outside inferences, bulky and complicated construction.

Embodiments of the present invention provide an image processing method and device, relating to the field of communications technology. The method includes: receiving at least two channels of images transmitted from a remote conference site; if there is a blind area in splicing of the at least two channels of images, comparing the width of the blind area with the sum of the widths of a left border and a right border of a display apparatus in a local conference site; processing the at least two channels of images separately according to a comparison result; outputting the at least two channels of processed images separately to the display apparatuses in the local conference site for displaying. In the embodiments of the present invention, the optimal image display effect may be achieved and the user experience in a telepresence video conference may be improved.
Abstract:
An integrated calibration system and process for a three-axis (X, Y, Z) accelerometer estimates Z-axis bias, Z-axis bias drift and determines X, Y, and Z-axes error sources based on measurements taken when the accelerometer is static, i.e., sensing only the earth's gravitational acceleration. Optimal on-the-fly error estimates for the three-axis accelerometer are obtained so that the measurements provided by the three-axis accelerometer remain error-free.
Abstract:
The invention disclosed the use of timosaponin BII in the preparation of a medicament or product for the prevention and treatment of stroke. The experiments prove that timosaponin BII can improve the neurological symptoms of cerebral ischemic rat, reduce infarct size, relieve brain water edema, improve hemorheology, reduce inflammatory injury of cerebral ischemia.
