Abstract:
A dental carrier comprises a thermoplastic carrier. The thermoplastic carrier has a pattern structure. After heating the thermoplastic carrier, the thermoplastic carrier is provided with a user to be impressed by teeth or alveolar ridge for forming teeth or alveolar ridge model of the user. Compared to the prior art, the dental carrier of the present invention can provide the dental medicament contained in the pattern structure to be precisely applied and hold onto the treatment area and the medicament can be evenly coated on the teeth, root, or periodontal tissue for the treatment of teeth. When the dental carrier is not used to carry medicament, the pattern structure can improve the mechanical strength and fitness of the dental carrier to be used as a biteplate, orthodontic retainer, periodontal dressing for treatment or protection or mouth guard in sports.

Abstract:
A method for fabricating a denture using, among other devices, a semi-custom thermoplastic tray (34). The thermoplastic tray (34) is customized over a mold of an edentulous ridge. The thermoplastic tray (34) has a handle (40) that it trimmed off after its use as a tray thereby converting the thermoplastic tray (34) into a base plate for continued fabrication of the denture. This allows the denture to be completed in only a few days with the patient making a trip to the dentist for the initial fabrication steps and then a second time to pick the finalized denture.

Dental instruments (210) made from a super-flexible alloy, which includes atoms from the group IVB and group VB transition metals and oxygen have superior strength and flexibility. The metal alloys are cold worked to increase the tensile strength of the dental instruments (210). Cold working the metal also increases the flexibility of the dental instruments (210). In one particular example a super-elastic endodontic file (210) is described.
