Abstract:
Abstract:
A punchbag configuration with an inner circumference portion area (8), with an all round, obtuse angled, cavity indentation, from an inner circumference portion to the outer circumference of the punchbag's external configuration. This creates the inner circumference neck portion which comprises of an external circular width band (1), placed in its designated area (8), creates two adjoined portions of this punchbag unit, which simulates a human, bodylike configuration, e.g. head, chin, neck, shoulders, main torso. This allows the user to practice inclined blows such as the uppercut. Also incorporated within the punchbag there is an internal structure with the purpose to compact all of the portions into one secure, tight unit.
Abstract:
A simulated sparring partner apparatus and method for the training and exercising of a boxer including a track (12), a punching bag (24) suspended from the track (12), a drive system (28, 32, 38, 39, 41) for moving the punching bag (24) along the track (12), and a control system (42) for controlling the drive system and movements of the punching bag (24) along track (12). The control system (42) may be programmed to automatically move the punching bag (24) in a predetermined sequence or controlled manually by a coach or trainer.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to training devices of types commonly referred to as strike pads, strike mitts, focus mitts, strike dummies and double end bags, which are used in many forms of martial arts, self-defense, unarmed combat, fighting and fitness training. The strike head of the invention is a martial arts, fighting and fitness training device in the shape of an anatomically accurate human head that provides realistic size, surface features and yield characteristics for highly accurate, targeted and dynamic hand strikes, arm strikes and kicks. The device can be held in place for the training athlete through various means including; 1 ) an integrated internal handle oriented to afford the holder an economically advantageous shape, contour and orientation, 2) a double end rope suspended from the floor and ceiling, and/or 3) a fixation attached to a floor, wall or overhead mounted post or armature.
Abstract:
A portable doorway recreation device for use on a doorway frame comprises an L-shaped frame. A first horizontal elongate bar is attached to a riser of the L-shaped frame and a second horizontal elongate bar is attached to a base of the L-shaped frame. A securing member is operatively associated with the second elongate bar, wherein with the first elongate bar sitting on a top of the doorway frame on a first wall side and the second elongate bar in contact with a second wall side, the securing member engages one of the first and second wall sides to prevent movement of the second elongate bar away from the second wall side.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to hitting equipment for training and practicing combat sports, which is shaped like a punching bag including a body (2) made of a flexible casing (4) and an inner space (5) containing a filling means (6). In the punching bag according to the invention: the inner space (5) is hermetically sealed and defined by an airtight, flexible inner surface (4d); the filling means (6) consists of a ballast product (6a) and a pressurised gas (6b) filling said inner space (5); and the flexible casing (4) is provided with a means (7) for accessing said inner space (5), which can be hermetically sealed and which enables the insertion and/or the removal of said filling means (6) into/from to said inner space (5). Further, the casing (4) is made up of a plurality of parts (4a, 4b, 4c) made of a heat-weldable plastic material connected together in a sealed fashion, namely a top disk (4a) and a bottom disk (4b) connected by a tubular portion (4c). The hanging means includes straps (3) each of which is rigidly connected to a heat-weldable plastic part attached to said casing (4).
Abstract:
A system for sports training having a frame disposed about a heavy bag. The frame can be suspended about the bag with various obstructions or frame members limiting open access to the bag. The frame has certain degrees of freedom and moves about the bag such that contact with the bag introduces a dynamic reaction with the frame thereby enhancing the boxing experience.
Abstract:
A boxing equipment frame assembly, wherein the frame assembly is capable of supporting a plurality of punching bags including a speed bag and a heavy bag. The frame assembly includes a speed bag support assembly that includes a sliding bracket. The bracket serves as the means of connecting the speed bag support assembly to the main equipment frame. By using a sliding bracket that moves independently of the main support frame, the height of the speed bag can be adjusted without displacing any of the additional components attached to the frame. A piston is provided to apply a continuous upward force to the sliding bracket. In applying a continuous upward force the user has to put in less effort and a greater degree of control is achieved in adjusting the height of the speed bag.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a sparring apparatus, and in particular a sparring apparatus comprising a support assembly being arranged to movably support a punchbag. A sparring apparatus comprising a support assembly being arranged to movably support a punchbag so as to provide at least two degrees of freedom of movement of the punchbag.
