Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for lubricating high temperature metals that can make the degree of corrosion on a metal surface lower than in the case of using regular lubricating methods. SOLUTION: The method comprises bringing a metal surface into contact with an amorphous liquid hydrofluorocarbon co-telomer containing 30-65% of a monomer unit derived from hexafluoropropylene and having H:F molar ratio of 0.05:1. The viscosity of the liquid hydrofluorocarbon at 40°C is in a range of 1-10,000 cSt. Furthermore, a thickening agent comprising a fine powder of polytetrafluoroethylene, silica, molybdenum disulfide or graphite is blended together. Abstract: A lubricating formulation prepared from a blend of components comprised of 35-55% of a first base oil; 30-50% of a second base oil; 0.5-5% of a hydrophobic fumed silica; and 1-10% of a hydrophilic fumed silica, wherein the hydrophobic fumed silica and the hydrophilic fumed silica are introduced during formulation so that the hydrophobic famed silica and the hydrophilic fumed silica are pulverized, discharged and dissolved under a surface the blend during formulation.

Abstract: The invention provides a grease composition capable of smoothly operating the lubricated parts even under wide-ranging temperature conditions, and at the same time, exhibiting excellent noise reducing effect on the lubricated parts. The grease composition containing a base oil and a thickener is provided, wherein the base oil includes at least one first base oil selected from the group consisting of poly-α-olefins and ethylene-α-olefin oligomers and at least one second base oil selected from the group consisting of polybutene, polyisobutylene, polymethacrylate, and styrene based copolymers, with the first base oil being contained in an amount of 65 mass % or more and the second base oil being contained in an amount of 1 mass % or more and less than 35 mass % based on the total mass of the base oil, the base oil having a kinematic viscosity of 350 to 1400 mm2/s at 40° C., the first base oil having a kinematic viscosity of 300 to 1200 mm2/s at 40° C., and the second base oil having a kinematic viscosity of 1500 to 200,000 mm2/s at 40° C.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to greases containing metal sulfonate thickeners. In one example the thickener may be a calcium sulfonate thickener. In other examples grease may contain a combination of a metal sulfonate thickener and another thickener, such as a metal complex soap grease, detergent, or non-soap thickener. The grease may be formulated to meet specific performance criteria relevant to lubrication of a roller cone drill bit in downhole conditions. The disclosure also relates to a roller cone drill bit containing a grease of the disclosure.

Abstract: A thermally conductive silicone grease composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane represented by the following general formula: wherein each R1 is independently selected from monovalent hydrocarbon groups, each X is independently selected from monovalent hydrocarbon groups or alkoxysilyl-containing groups of the following general formula: —R2—SiR1a(OR3)(3-a) wherein R1 is defined as above, R2 is an oxygen atom or an alkylene group, R3 is an alkyl group, a is an integer ranging from 0 to 2, m is an integer equal to or greater than 0, and n is an integer equal to or greater than 0; (B) a thermally conductive filler; and (C) an aluminum-based or titanium-based coupling agent. The composition exhibits excellent heat resistance and reduced oil bleeding.
