A method and a system are disclosed that make it possible to select and present colors based on a semantic search thus making the color selection process more human-compatible. A word-based search mechanism makes it easier to translate a designer's inspiration to color selection. The colors selected by using the semantic color search engine have numeric color information associated with them. This enables use of the results by design software and color software used in production processes.

A distributed color selection and coordination system including a remote computer communicatively coupled to a server. The remote computer configured to select a starting color and access a database in the server to find one or more complementary colors. The colors in the database arranged in a predetermined relationship with other colors in the database, the relationship between colors based on color theory. The remote computer being capable of storing personal information and color selections on the server. An in-store kiosk is communicatively coupled to the server and configured to execute color selection and coordination software. The in-store kiosk being capable of retrieving stored personal information and color selections from the server which was previously stored from the remote computer.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to build a simulated image in which a subject's hair is changed to a desired color, and to accurately suggest the hair dye needed to dye the subject's hair from its existing color to the desired color. To achieve this object, the hair color advice system according to the present invention includes (i) an image memory into which image data regarding the subject is input and stored, (ii) a processor that finds the hair area in the input image of the subject and builds a simulated image in which the color of the hair area is changed to any color, and (iii) a monitor 4 on which the input image of the subject and/or the simulated image are displayed.
Abstract:
An improved color selection process for assisting customers when shopping for floor, wall, or window coverings is disclosed. The color selection process includes: (a) the creation of a digital and graphic computer database that classifies a store's or other entity's entire product inventory according to internally harmonious color families, and (b) a visualization experience, using this database, computer graphics and a specially designed color room to give customers a more realistic preview of product(s) being considered.

The present invention relates to a colorimetry table manufacturing apparatus. In particular, the colorimetry table manufacturing apparatus includes a supporter; a lift unit moving up and down at the supporter and in which color paper is arranged on the top; a fixed block with multiple installation holes, installed on the upper side of the lift unit, and coming in contact with the color paper when the lift unit rises; a sealed dye box containing separate, multiple dyes with different colors; and multiple spray tubes of which one end is connected to the fixed block and the other end is connected to the various dyes, and periodically spreading the dyes to the color paper by using air pressure injected into the dye box. Accordingly, the present invention reduces risk of bleaching or discoloration, and automatically manufactures the colorimetry table by reproducing exact color.

PURPOSE: A fuzzy based personal color diagnosis system and a method thereof are provided to supply consistent and objective personal color diagnosis. CONSTITUTION: A DB(30) stores a model color for which a season type is predetermined, and a color input unit(10) receives an inquiry color of a body. Based on the model color and distance stored at DB and the inquiry color inputted from the color input unit, an operation control unit(20) selects a season type. A display unit(50) displays the seasonal type through the control signal of the operation control unit.

The color device (300) has a core (302) with hues that gradually change whiteness, respectively. The discs have hues covering an entire color spectrum at a certain level of whiteness. All hues of the first and second discs (308, 306) have the first and second level of whiteness, respectively. The discs extend perpendicularly outwardly from the core. The first disc (308) is axially remote from the second disc (306) so that a distance (d) is formed therebetween. The discs are aligned so that color cells of the first disc (308) axially aligned with color cells of the second disc (306) have identical hues except for different whiteness. The level of color saturation in the color cells is gradually increased radially outwardly from the core (302).
