The present invention relates to a moving element for a low voltage switching device and to a switching device comprising this moving element. The moving element according to the invention comprises for each pole a housing unit (25) suitable to receive an elastic element (50) which interacts with an electrical contact (1). This latter comprises a first contact portion (11) susceptible to contact a further electrical contact and a second portion (12) connectable to a conductive element of the switching device. The electrical contact comprises a pin shaped portion (5) positioned rotating in a seat (9) defined on the housing unit so as to configure a mutual rotation axis of the electrical contact with respect to the housing unit.

The moving element comprises a shaped body (4) provided, for each pole, with a housing unit (25) to house at least one electrical contact. The moving element also comprises an actuating connecting rod (15) provided with a pair of lateral portions (41) connected by a transverse portion (42). The actuating connecting rod is connected to the shaped body through pin connection means comprising a first and a second pin shaped portion (71, 72), emerging from one side of a corresponding lateral portion. The shaped body comprises a pair of seats (9), each to house a corresponding pin shaped portion so as to define a rotation axis for the connecting rod with respect to the shaped body. The first lateral portion and the second lateral portion of the connecting rod respectively comprise a first and a second mating surface (51, 52). The shaped body comprises a third mating surface (53) and a fourth mating surface (54) which respectively contact the first and the second mating surface of the actuating connecting rod.

A circuit interrupter with an accessory case socket into which an accessory bell alarm member is disposed. A two-piece lever arrangement is provided in the bell alarm accessory case between the micro-switch button thereof and the operating mechanism of the circuit breaker. In the first stage of operation the operating mechanism rotates the entire two-piece member as a unit until the bell alarm button has been completely depressed, after which overtravel of the operating mechanism is accommodated by rotational movement of only one of the members on a common axis against the force of a hub located torsion spring.
