Methods and systems for transmitting uplink control information and feedback are disclosed for carrier aggregation systems. A user equipment device may be configured to transmit uplink control information and other feedback for several downlink component carriers using one or more uplink component carriers. The user equipment device may be configured to transmit such data using a physical uplink control channel rather than a physical uplink shared channel. The user equipment device may be configured to determine the uplink control information and feedback data that is to be transmitted, the physical uplink control channel resources to be used to transmit the uplink control information and feedback data, and how the uplink control information and feedback data may be transmitted over the physical uplink control channel.

Abstract:
A sounding reference signal transmission method which is efficient in an uplink wireless telecommunications system using a multiple antenna technique and sounding reference signal hopping. A terminal using the multiple antenna technique is equipped with a plurality of antennas, and a base station receives the sounding reference signal transmitted from these antennas and estimates the uplink channel state of each antenna. Moreover, the sounding reference signal performs frequency hopping so that the base station determines the channel condition for the entire bandwidth to which data is transmitted in the uplink system. The sounding reference signal is transmitted through an antenna pattern in which the sounding reference signal can be transmitted through the entire data transmission bandwidth of the uplink system for each antenna of the terminal without additional overhead in this environment.

PURPOSE: An SRS(Sounding Reference Signal) transmission apparatus of an uplink wireless communication system using multiple antennas and SRS hopping and a method thereof are provided to supply an SRS transmission antenna pattern in order to transmit an SRS from each antenna of each terminal to an entire area of a data transmission band. CONSTITUTION: An SRS sequence generator(701) generates a predetermined signal. An SRS frequency allocator(704) allocates an SRS sequence to a sub-carrier. An IFFT unit(705) performs an IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) process for the SRS sequence allocated to each sub-carrier. An antenna selector(708) maps a transformed SRS to a transmitting antenna. An antenna pattern storing unit(707) offers an SRS transmission antenna pattern to an antenna selector.
