Abstract:
A device and method for reading out information stored in a storage layer using a receiving device. The storage layer is supported on a support surface that is defined by an x-y plane and a relative movement is generated between the receiving device and the storage layer in the x direction. The receiving device or the storage layer is guided during the generation of the relative movement by a guide system on a guide surface. Using first and second partial guides, an interspacing is adjusted in a z direction that lies perpendicular to the x-y plane, on either side—viewed in the z direction—of the support surface. The guide surface is independent of the storage layer and the first and second partial guides are connected to one another and are pretensioned against one another, and act in a pincer-like manner on the support surface.
Abstract:
A method is for providing a sheet of film for digital image data records in medical imaging which are captured in a medical data acquisition center. An external service provider receives the digital image data records from the medical data acquisition center via a network. An exposure device is then used to prepare a sheet of film from the digital image data records. Finally, the sheet of film is sent to an addressee. As such, both the economic involvement and the time involvement of the medical data acquisition centers, for providing sheets of film from their digital image data records, is reduced.
Abstract:
In a image processing system, a cassette loading unit, a reciprocating feed system, an auxiliary scanning feed mechanism, and an erasing unit are controlled by a first CPU, and an image reading process and error processes relative to the reading of image information are performed by a second CPU. The image processing system starts a shading correcting process at a time when a first time has elapsed from a time when a start-of-scan signal is supplied, and ends the shading correcting process and detects an error and an erasing level at a time when a third time has elapsed from a time when an effecting reading period is ended.
Abstract:
An x-ray photographic apparatus for medical examination has a television camera for photographing x-ray images transmitted through an object under examination, an A/D converter for converting the output from the camera into digital form, a memory for storing the digitized data, a register connected to the memory, a television monitor that permits one to see through the object, and a cathode-ray tube connected to the register for producing light signals falling on photosensitive paper. Desired ones of the images displayed on the monitor can be copied onto the photosensitive paper.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method of storing image data comprising images of a subject generated by a medical imaging device is disclosed. The method comprises: a) capturing the image data; b) receiving subject identification metadata; c) analysing at least one selected element of the image data to detect features identifying the subject and modifying the or each selected element of the image data by removing or obscuring any such detected features; and d) storing a subject record comprising the or each modified selected element of the image data and the subject identification metadata.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for reading out at least one especially flexible imaging plate. The readout device comprises a reader for reading out information stored on the imaging plate, and a transport device having at least one drive means for transporting the imaging plate relative to the reader along a guide means on the transport path. The shape of the transport path is adapted to the shape of a readout area of the reader. At least one substantially solid support (1) for the imaging plate is provided. The shape and dimensions of the support (1) are adapted to the shape of the transport path. When the imaging plate is transported together with the support (1), the imaging plate does not come into contact with the drive means. The invention also relates to the support (1) for the imaging plate.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A comparative review system for displaying views associated with studies on first and second display areas according to a screen layout, a study view mode, and a hanging protocol. The screen layout is used to determine the number of display slots to display in the first and second display areas. This determination along with the study view mode is then used to determine whether to display a study in corresponding display slots associated with the first and second display areas. The number of display slots displayed, whether studies are displayed in corresponding display slots across displays, and the hanging protocol are used to determine which views to display within display slots. Each screen layout, study view mode and hanging protocol is associated with a comparative review mode, which in turn are combined into a comparative review sequence. The comparative review sequence allows for display and navigation through the various modes .
Abstract:
A method of acquiring at least one image from an image recording medium using a pulsed radiation source is provided. In one aspect, a method of scanning an image recording medium that has been exposed to X-ray radiation comprises providing first radiation along a plurality of scan traces over a surface of the image recording medium such that the first radiation does not impinge on the image recording over at least one interval along each of the plurality of scan traces. The pulsed laser source may reduce and/or eliminate cross-influence artifacts in images resulting from pulsed radiation image acquisition.
