Abstract:
A communication device including a first holding unit (127) which is configured to hold a disk-like first recording medium (400) capable of storing information and a second holding unit (126) which is configured to hold a second recording medium which is different from the first recording medium. The communication device (120) includes request reception means (121) configured to receive a request for information indicating a recording medium which is usable by the communication device (120) from a terminal device (110), and transmission means (121) configured to transmit information indicating the first recording medium and information indicating the second recording medium held by the second holding unit (126) to the terminal device (110) when the request is received.
Abstract:
An image capturing apparatus is disclosed. An image capturing section captures an image of light and obtains image data. An image display section displays the image data obtained by the image capturing section with a predetermined number of pixels. A storage section stores the image data obtained by the image capturing section. An interface section is connectable to an external storage device. A control section causes the image data obtained by the image capturing section to be stored to the external storage device connected through the interface section, when the captured image data are stored to the external storage device, the image data whose number of pixel exceeds the predetermined number of pixels to be converted into image data having the predetermined number of pixels, and the converted image data to be stored to the storage section.
Abstract:
A photographing apparatus capable of automatically setting a resolution and a method thereof. The photographing apparatus has a digital video camera unit (202) to photograph a motion picture, a DVC signal processing block (112), first and second resolution converting units (171, 172) to convert the digital motion picture data to first and second resolutions, respectively, first and second compressing units (182, 183) to compress the output data from the first and second resolution converting units (171, 172) to first and second format data, first and second recording media (121, 122) to store first and second format data, respectively, a recording medium selecting switch (131) to select one among the first and second recording media (121, 122), and a control unit (140) to control such that the digital motion picture data can be transmitted to one among the first and second resolution converting units (171, 172). Accordingly, the memory space of the recording medium can be used efficiently, and the user is not inconvenienced by having to set the resolution every time he/she selects the recording medium to use.
Abstract:
A digital camera includes a button to renew a displayed image. If an operator depresses the renewing button for 2 seconds or longer, then a continuous reproducing mode is set. If a finger is released from the renewing button, the mode is switched from the continuous reproducing mode to a normal reproducing mode. A CPU, in the continuous reproducing mode, expands thumbnail image data and magnifies the expanded data to display the thumbnail images on an LCD. In the normal reproducing mode, on the other hand, original image data is expanded, and an expanded original image is displayed on the LCD. That is, the thumbnail images are reproduced in a continuous manner during depression of a reproducing button by the operator, while the thumbnail image is turned into an original image if the operator releases his finger from the reproducing button.
Abstract:
An information signal processing apparatus according to the present invention is an apparatus for processing an information signal. The apparatus is arranged to temporarily store information data inputted thereinto and move, after a predetermined amount of information data is stored, a moving element of a recording medium into which the information data is to be recorded, so that it is possible to stably execute continuous recording of the information signal by means of a simple arrangement with a small power consumption.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide an information processing apparatus (11) having a plurality of recording media (59,91). The information processing apparatus (11) includes an imaging unit (51) for capturing an image of a subject and a recording unit (59) for recording image data of the image captured by the imaging unit (51) onto the recording media (59,91) such that the amounts of recorded image data differ between the recording media (59,91). According to the present invention, the same image data is recorded onto at least a first recording medium (59) built in the apparatus and a second recording medium (91) removable from the apparatus (11) such that the amount of data recorded on the first medium (59) is smaller than that on the second medium (91). In this information processing apparatus, a user can view images captured previously with more ease because image data recorded on the first recording medium (59) is sorted by date and is provided to the user in this state.
Abstract:
A recording control apparatus includes an attribute information reader (111), a medium determining unit (112), and a command transmitter (113). When a recording medium (20) is removably loaded into a loading unit (11), the attribute information reader (111) reads attribute information therefrom. On the basis of the attribute information, the medium determining unit (112) determines whether or not the recording medium (20) is a one-time recording medium capable of writing data only once. If the recording medium (20) is determined to be a one-time recording medium that has been set to a write-protected state in advance, the command transmitter (113) transmits to the recording medium (20) an unlock command for unlocking the write-protected state thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention efficiently executes transfer process from a flash memory to an optical disc. A recording control apparatus includes a UDF file system section that configures a UDF file system on the flash file system of a flash memory and an application format section that converts video and audio data into a file group conforming to the DVD application format and manages it on the UDF files system. When copying the data recorded in the flash memory to a DVD, management information switching section of the apparatus converts the logical addresses of the flash memory into the logical addresses of the DVD. DVD buffer control section converts the data recorded in an array of 64 Kbytes that is the recording unit of the flash memory into an array of 32 Kbytes that is the recording unit of the DVD and transfers them to DVD drive.
Abstract:
Charging of a camera 100 and backup of data are concurrently executed to enable picking up an image regardless of a remaining available memory. As the camera 100 is attached to a cradle 200, image data for the image picked up by a camera module 110 of the camera 100 is directly transferred to and recorded in a HDD 220 of the cradle 200. Image data, already recorded in the flash memory 133 of the camera 100, is backed up by the HDD 220 of the cradle 200. Further, the cradle 200 allows a charging circuit 204 to charge a rechargeable battery of the camera 100 using electric power supplied via an AC cord 280. Also, the cradle 200 has a tripod bore 270 through which the camera is fixed to a tripod for picking up the image.
