A printed material is electrically read, and electrical data of the printed material is input as a reference comparison image. The feature amount of a region to be processed containing a page image contained in the reference comparison image is extracted. A target comparison image corresponding to the reference comparison image is retrieved from a storage medium by using the extracted feature amount. The retrieved image is processed.

In a radiation image photographing apparatus using a radiation detection cassette containing an image memory, image data read from the image memory are properly related to a photographing menu used at the time of obtaining the image data. A counter value C of a photographing counter 57 in a cassette 50 is converted to radio data C' and transferred to a display apparatus 21 while being stored in an image memory 45 as accompanying information of image data D. The display apparatus 21 relates the transferred counter value C to a photographing menu. When the image data D are read from the image memory 45, the counter value C is also read and the photographing menu corresponding to the image data D is identified by referring to the counter value C.

Provided is a method of controlling a digital image processing apparatus which sequentially stores images in a recording medium after capturing the images in a photographing mode and sequentially displays the images stored in the recording medium by receiving direction signals input by a user in a play mode. A go to setting is set regarding the captured images according to a selection of the user in the photographing mode. A list of images that are set with the go to setting is displayed according to the selection of the user in the play mode and then the image selected by the user from the list is displayed.

A control method of a digital image processing device having a searching function is provided to rapidly and conveniently find the user's desired image in the reproduction mode. A digital camera processor produces and stores an image file in a memory card as a recording medium(S302). Thereafter, the digital camera processor performs the image capture(S304) and displays the image of the received image data on an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel for several seconds(S306). When a searching signal is inputted(S308), the digital camera processor displays a searching list including plural blocks(S310) and moves an activation cursor according to the inputted direction button signal(S312,S314).

PURPOSE: A page information printing method for a facsimile is provided to precisely distinguish the sequence of received data when printing a plurality of pages at once, thereby simplifying the putting of the printed sheets in order. CONSTITUTION: A page information printing method for a facsimile includes the steps of decoding received facsimile data according to a predetermined format(310,320), generating data of a printing format from the decoded facsimile data to print(332-336), and additionally printing a current page with page division information thereof whenever sensing an end of each page while printing(342-346), wherein the page division information is a page number of a corresponding page.

An image forming device capable of performing direct-printing and a direct-printing method thereof are provided to remove inconvenience of resetting printing option and printing a file from the first when an error occurring in the direct-printing of a file stored in a removable storage medium by storing the printing option in the removable storage medium. An interface unit(120) is connected to a removable storage medium(200) storing a file. A processor(130) converts image definition or file format into the image definition or the file format proper to an image forming device(100) when the image forming device reads out an image of the file from the removable storage medium. A user operation unit(112) sets up to printing option needed for direct-printing. A controller(180) stores the printing option set by the user operation unit to the removable storage medium. A printing engine(140) prints the file based on the printing option stored in the removable storage medium. The controller updates printing progress information, which is changed as the printing engine prints the file, to the removable storage medium. The printing progress information includes more than one of the number of printed sheets or the number of printed pages set to the file. The controller deletes the printing option stored in the removable storage medium when the file is completely printed based on the printing option.
