An image processing system is capable of proving that identification information is added to a print by providing a function (305 to 307, particularly 307, in Fig. 3 flow chart) for detecting whether a printer has a function for adding the identification information to a printed matter when transferring image data from an electronic apparatus (201 in Fig. 1) which processes the image data to the printer. The system enables to prevent illegal color copying of banknotes or the like.

PURPOSE: A digital camera and a printer are provided to allow to display on a user interface of a digital camera, whether or not a printer which can directly communicate with the digital camera having a function of automatically detecting a paper size or the like. CONSTITUTION: A print system includes a digital camera and a printer. The printer(1000) can directly communicate with the digital camera(3012). In addition, the printer has a function of automatically detecting a paper size and the like. The printer has a transmission unit for transmitting information indicating that it has a function of automatically detecting the paper size and type to the digital camera. The digital camera has a user interface for notifying the user that the printer has that function.

An image forming device with an Internet phone function and a method thereof are provided to receive packets from the other image forming device, convert the packets into voice data, and transmit the voice data to the phone of a user, thereby improving the convenience of a user by performing a low-priced Internet call without having separate hardware. An image forming device supporting a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) function comprises an interface unit(110) and a control unit(120). The interface unit relays communication with an external device. The control unit converts voice data received through the interface unit into data packets and transmits the converted packet to a communication device of the other party through the interface unit. The interface unit comprises a modem unit(111) and a network card unit(112). The modem unit receives the voice data from the outside. The network card unit transmits the packet to the communication device of the other party.

The receiver image processing apparatus includes printing means able to print image data on a plurality of types of sheets of different sizes. When an incoming call arrives from a sender image processing apparatus, determination means of the apparatus determines whether a setting to perform post-processing on sheets by post-processing means has been made by a setting unit (S801). A method for T.38 gateway processing non-standard frames, wherein the T.38 gateway comprises at least a transmitting gateway and a receiving gateway, and the transmitting gateway connects to a transmitting facsimile, and the receiving gateway connects to a receiving facsimile, comprises that: a) the transmitting gateway and the receiving gateway judge the types of all of the received V.21 frame; b) when the receiving gateway or the transmitting gateway receives an NSF non-standard frame, modify the NSF non-standard frame, and proceed to transmit the modified non-standard frame. The method of the present invention modifies the facsimile process in which the facsimile rate is negotiated in private frame by the gateway to a process in which negotiation is implemented in standard frame, which ensures the rate parameter can be extracted by the gateway correctly, and the network facsimile can be processed normally.

An internet facsimile apparatus and data communication apparatus that can directly exchange capability information of sender and receiver sides and maximize the capability of both sides is provided, by obtaining an IP address of a destination terminal based on the input e-mail address, and by directly transmitting the e-mail to the destination terminal using the IP address of the destination terminal without using mail servers. Also, using the IP address of the destination terminal, a connection is established with the destination terminal to execute a mail protocol that can exchange capability information. After obtaining the capability information of the destination terminal, data format of the sending data is converted to match the capability information of the destination terminal, and the sending data is transmitted by e-mail.
