The invention relates to a diaphragm arrangement (10) for attachment to a structural component or fixing ring (26) for the purpose of generating sound, having two piezo crystals (14a, 14b) which are attached opposite one another on both sides of a vibratable electrically conductive diaphragm (12), wherein the piezo crystals (14) are each fastened to the diaphragm (12), having a connection contact (28), in an electrically conductive and force-transmitting manner and the piezo crystals (14) are each connected, on the opposite side thereof, to a contact plate (20a, 20b) in an electrically conductive manner. In this case, each contact plate (20) has at least one contact strip which extends to the structural component and the end of which respectively has an electrical connection contact. The diaphragm arrangement (10) can be excited by means of electrical voltages which can be applied to the three connection contacts. Contacting which is reliable during operation is thus achieved and the contact plates (20) act as heat conducting plates for dissipating heat from the piezo crystals (14).

An apparatus for measuring a plurality of loudspeakers arranged at different positions comprises: a test signal generator (10) for generating a test signal for a loudspeaker; a microphone device (12) being configured for receiving a plurality of different sound signals in response to one or more loudspeaker signals emitted by a loudspeaker of the plurality of loudspeakers in response to the test signal; a controller (14) for controlling emissions of the loudspeaker signals by the plurality of loudspeakers and for handling the plurality of different sound signals so that a set of sound signals recorded by the microphone device is associated with each loudspeaker of the plurality of loudspeakers in response to the test signal; and an evaluator (16) for evaluating the set of sound signals for each loudspeaker to determine at least one loudspeaker characteristic for each loudspeaker and for indicating a loudspeaker state using the at least one loudspeaker characteristic for the loudspeaker. This scheme allows an automatic, efficient and accurate measurement of loudspeakers arranged in a three-dimensional configuration.

The portable electronic device comprises a housing containing: a processing unit, a least one speaker for playing audio signals; a power pack for powering the portable electronic device, including the processing unit; and a charging circuit electrically connected to the power pack for charging the power pack from an external power source. The portable electronic device further comprises at least one speaker port for enabling sound from the at least one speaker to exit the housing, the at least one speaker port enabled to convey power from the external power source to the charging circuit such that the power pack is chargeable via the at least one speaker port.
