Abstract: PURPOSE: A railroad tunnel safety system is provided to improve the transmission stability and reliability of sense information data by independently operating a USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) sensor node and a gateway. CONSTITUTION: A sensor device(110) is included in a railroad tunnel and senses harmful gas concentration and water leakage within the tunnel and a state of the tunnel. An USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) sensor node(120) collects the sense information detected from the sensor device through multiplex communication. A plurality of gateways(130) receives the sense information transmitted from the USN sensor node through the multiplex communication and transmits received sense information. A central control system(140) analyzes the sensed information of the harmful gas concentration and the water leakage within the tunnel and the state of the tunnel and informs abnormal generation for the safety of the tunnel.
