Abstract:
An apparatus intended for placing in a box products that are asymmetrical in at least one direction, such as for instance packed poultry carcasses (P) intended for consumption, which apparatus (1) comprises a conveyor (3), a first engaging element (5) arranged for movement by means of a first moving mechanism (4) and a second engaging element (7) arranged for movement by means of a second moving mechanism (6), the apparatus (1) further comprising a control for controlling the conveyor (3), the first and the second moving mechanism (4,6) and the first and the second engaging element (5,7).
Abstract:
Apparatus for transferring separate products, such as eggs and fruit, from a feed conveyor (1) to a packaging apparatus, which apparatus comprises: a feed conveyor (1) provided with at least one row of product holders; a receiving conveyor (7) provided with brushes, for receiving the products (P) discharged from the feed conveyor (1); and a feed-through conveyor (11), connecting to the receiving conveyor (7), for further conveying the products (P) to a packaging apparatus, wherein the apparatus is provided with electrically operable discharge members (6) disposed above the feed conveyor (1), which discharge members are fixedly arranged, while, further, means are present for operating these discharge members (6) or for influencing the fall trajectory (T+, T-) of the articles (P) discharged from the feed conveyor, the arrangement being such that these articles (P) end up at substantially the same landing location on the receiving conveyor (7), independently of the speed of travel (V+, V-) of the feed conveyor (1) at the moment of discharge.
Abstract:
A dosing apparatus for eggs or like substantially round or ellipsoid articles, comprising at least one endless conveyor having a conveying face above which guiding elements are disposed intended for ordering an unordered flow of articles into a number of ordered flows each having the width of one article, wherein a main surface of each of the guiding elements includes, with the conveying face part extending between the opposite guiding elements, an angle greater than 90°, enabling the articles to be gradually pushed upwards along the guiding elements, wherein at the inlet of the dosing apparatus, said dosing apparatus comprises one conveying channel and wherein, viewed in the conveying direction, the number of conveying channels doubles each time, so that at a discharge end of the dosing apparatus the width of the conveying channels at that location is such that, viewed in conveying direction, the articles can only travel therein in file.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a conveyor having a number of article holders conveyable in the direction of travel, each article holder comprising an operating cam by means of which the article holder can be brought from a retaining position into a releasing position, the apparatus comprising a number of stops, each stop being movable substantially perpendicularly to the direction of travel under the influence of an exciting element, which stops in a downward position operate the operating cams and in an upward position allow the operating cams to pass freely, the stops being arranged for displacement in the direction of travel depending on the speed of the conveyor, as a result of which the stop point between the operating cam and the stop and hence the point at which the article in the relevant holder is released is displaceable, the exciting elements being fixedly arranged and each comprising a plunger, movable perpendicularly to the direction of travel, by means of which the position of a corresponding stop can be controlled.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transferring discrete articles at a receiving and packing station from a randomly supplied conveyor (5) having articles with a plurality of characteristics to a take away conveyor (10) having articles with only certain selected characteristics out of the plurality of characteristics. At each receiving and packing station, the articles having the selected characteristics are transferred from the supply conveyor (5) to a collecting device (7) to form therein a completed row of a certain number of articles. An endless transfer conveyor (8) has a plurality of rows of article holders, each of which, at one point in its travel, is positioned to receive a completed row of articles from the collecting device (7). The collecting device will deliver a complete row of articles only into an empty row of holders in the transfer conveyor (8). The transfer conveyor then transfers a completed row of articles to containers on a take away conveyor (5). A receiving mechanism (9) may be interposed between the transfer conveyor and the containers (95) to receive and lower articles to the containers.
Abstract:
An apparatus for receiving or transferring, vertically transporting and delivering articles such as eggs. The apparatus comprises a feed conveyor (2) for presenting successive articles (5) in oriented position and an endless, continuously movable and substantially vertically arranged carrier conveyor (9) for receiving the articles successively presented by the feed conveyor. The carrier conveyor (9) is equipped with means for retaining and supporting the articles (5) during the vertical transport. These means comprise a fixed guideway (11), extending in the direction of transport, over which the article (5) can move in sliding fashion and which supports the article on one side, as well as a support member (10) pivotally mounted on the carrier conveyor (9), which member supports the article (5) on the opposite side and keeps it pressed against the guideway (11).
Abstract:
An egg orienting apparatus for orienting the smaller ends of eggs in a predetermined position. The eggs are supplied to the apparatus on rotating rollers (3) of a roller conveyor (2). At one of the reversing wheels (30) of the conveyor, means are arranged which enable an egg to be lifted relative to one of a pair of egg carrying rollers. According to the invention, at one of the reversing wheels (30) means are arranged consisting of pushing members (6) which can be moved faster than the conveyor (2). The pushing members are arranged approximately at the level of the reversing wheel. Further, lifting means (31) are arranged which release the egg (1) from one of a pair of rollers (3), so that the egg is enabled to rotate while being supported by the other carrying roller and the lifting means.
Abstract:
A device for stacking trays (S) containing eggs comprising a feed conveyor (2) taking the trays one after the other, a discharge conveyor (3) for the trays stacked on each other, a conveyor mechanism (15), operating between the feed and discharge conveyor having up and down carrying means (20) for one tray at a time, and a support (30) taking the stacked trays and always rotating through 90 o . The discharge conveyor (3) extends on each side of the support (30) being movable from a low position to a high position and vice versa. The carrying means (20) are movable along a closed track extending in a vertical plane and are designed as, forkshaped or rake-shaped, elements (22) projecting on said plane. The elements (22) can be folded about a horizontally extending axis on a carrier (20) being movable along a track. At least one pair of folding elements, always provided opposite each other in pairs on either side of the feed and discharge conveyor, is provided on a carrier.
