    Abstract: Embodiments include microfluidic devices and related methods. A microfluidic device for producing microbubbles may include a first microfluidic channel for supplying a continuous phase fluid, the first microfluidic channel including a convergent section and a constant-width section downstream from the convergent section, wherein the constant-width section discharges into a junction; a second microfluidic channel for supplying a dispersed phase fluid, the second microfluidic channel including an orthogonal section oriented orthogonal to the constant-width section, wherein the orthogonal section discharges into the junction; and a third microfluidic channel for conveying produced microbubbles, the third microfluidic channel including a divergent section, wherein the junction discharges into the divergent section.

    Abstract: Digital logic voltage regulators and related methods generate a regulated voltage via controlled switching of a power transistor. A digital logic voltage regulator includes a voltage level comparator, a power transistor, and a charge accumulator. The voltage level comparator generates a digital control signal that alternates between a first voltage level and a second voltage level in response to changes in relative voltage level between the regulated output voltage and the target voltage. The digital control signal causes the power transistor to switch from off to on in response to a reduction of the regulated output voltage relative to the target voltage and causes the power transistor to switch from on to off in response to an increase of the regulated output voltage relative to the target voltage. The charge accumulator decreases variation in the regulated output voltage that would occur without the charge accumulator.

    Abstract: The present invention provides for an ice-nucleating particle for cloud seeding and other applications, which can initiate ice nucleation at a temperature of –8°C. Further, the ice nucleation particle number increased continuously and rapidly with the reducing of temperature. The ice nucleating particle in the present invention is a nanostructured porous composite of 3-dimensional reduced graphene oxide and silica dioxide nanoparticles (PrGO-SN). The present invention also provides for a process for synthesizing the PrGO-SN.
