    Abstract: PURPOSE: To manufacture an iron for second category washings by means of a rational price by electrically separating the metallic sheet of a resistance heating element from first and second plates on the respective side parts by means of a separated and overlapped Micanite board. CONSTITUTION: The resistance heating element is made to be electrically independent of the first and the second plates 1 and 2 by the two overlapped Micanite separation boards and the first Micanite board which is mechanically joined with the metallic sheet of the resistance heating element 4 and with its adjacent Micanite boards 5-7. The plural Micanite boards are 0.1 mm±0.02 mm in thickness. They are mutually energized in order to assemble the plates 1, 2 and 10, the assembly is heated and the brazing alloys of roll joining layers 1c, 2b and 10b is adequate to be melted. Thus, a base (source plate) for the steam or dry iron of the second category is obtained with a comparatively reasonable price.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To calibrate a device without adjusting measurement elements after manufacture by providing two strain gauge bridges in addition to a strain gauge bridge for transferring a signal that is mainly sensitive to force or moment to be measured. CONSTITUTION: A signal to be transferred is measured by three strain gauge bridges R1 -R12 at a known reference load position where the strain gauge bridges R1 -R12 are selected from the highest sensitivity state. Sensitivity parameters are calculated from the reference measurement. Each signal to be transferred by a measurement bridge according to the sensitivity parameters becomes the function of a load to be applied. The parameter of force or moment being measured by the first strain gauge bridges R1 -R4 is calculated by the sensitivity parameters.
