The present invention is directed to a system and method for implementing an intelligent redial system. A method for storing redial data for a connection between a user phone system and a remote phone system may include establishing a connection with the remote phone system by the user phone system. A timer is started in response to the established connection. At least one digit is dialed by a user and corresponding time data of the timer with the dialed digit is monitored. The monitored digit and corresponding time data is stored. The stored monitored digit and corresponding time data are suitable for performing a redial.

A telecommunications system includes a network (101); a plurality of endpoints (102a, 102b) operably coupled to the network; a gatekeeper and a database engine, typically located in a gatekeeper server (108), for downloading database information such as a corporate directory, to the endpoints. The gatekeeper server and the endpoints further include load monitors (2002) for monitoring device performance. If the load is higher than a threshold, the gatekeeper will not provide a requested database information. The endpoint then requests the information from another endpoint.

A system, method, apparatus, means, and computer program code for processing of an instant message. According to embodiments of the present invention, a sender or originator of an instant message may be sent a notification regarding one or more actions involving the instant message after the instant message is received by or at a device. One or more of the actions may take place after the instant message remains unread or unopened on the device for a given period of time. In addition, in some embodiments, the instant message may be saved, forwarded, returned to the sender, etc. after receipt of the instant message by or at the device according to one or more rules established by the sender and/or the receiver of the instant message.
Abstract:
A system and method for accessing complex computer based systems initiates a trace and debug session via IP causing the resulting output to be stored in a designated remote server on the Internet which can accept large amounts of information. The trace and debug information subsequently can be accessed from any engineering workstation or personal computer from any other location via the Internet. The invention permits the trace sessions to run independent of any local access and permits several technical people in different locations to access the remote storage server simultaneously or independently.

A telecommunications call center includes a controller (301), graphical user interface (302), a database (304), and a query engine (306). The controller (301) stores call information in the database (304), such as call length, duration, party, time, and the like. The graphical user interface (302) subsequently allows a user to enter query fields for a query of the database. The query engine (306) reads the entries, generates a Structured Query Language (SQL) query, and returns results via the graphical user interface.
Abstract:
A concealed telephone includes a telephone body that is hidden from view. Audio signals produced by the telephone are provided to an earpiece that is hidden in a pair of glasses, sunglasses, or jewelry. A microphone is incorporated into a tie tack, jewelry piece, or other location that is inconspicuous, such as in a pen. Signals between the earpiece and microphone are preferably transmitted wirelessly to the telephone by a Bluetoothnull or other short-range analog or digital wireless communication device. Alternatively, signals could be transmitted from the telephone to the earpiece and microphone via hidden wires.

An in-line charge controller for controlling charging of a storage device such as a cell, battery or the like by a charging system, particularly a photovoltaic charging system is disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a cable assembly for a photovoltaic charging system including a photovoltaic module suitable for charging a battery, includes a wire assembly for coupling the photovoltaic module to the battery and a charge controller for controlling charging of the battery by the photovoltaic module. The charge controller is embedded in line within the wire assembly thereby reducing the risk of damage to the system or battery due to improper installation of the system.

Techniques for dynamically loading protocol stacks under signaling control (e.g., a message) are provided. A message can be sent to load a protocol stack. If the protocol stack cannot be loaded, a different protocol stack (such as an unused protocol stack) is unloaded so that the desired protocol stack can be loaded. Memory can be more efficiently utilized and non-sharable protocol stacks can be easily shared.
Abstract:
An improved video e-mail system includes a video input device with a video e-mail controller, and a Web Access Device processor implementing video capture, e-mail and compression selection programs. In operation, a user activates the video e-mail controller, for example, by pushing or clicking a button. The video input device sends a video stream to the Web Access Device processor which is stored until the user clicks or pushes the button again. The Web Access Device processor then activates the e-mail program, opens a nullcomposenull window, and attaches the stored video file.
