Abstract:
An automatic money dispenser (10) has at least one self-service device (18, 18'), a central money repository (30) separated therefrom and a money conveyor (38) which links the money repository (30) to the self-service device(s) (18, 18'). The money conveyor (38) and the self-service device(s) (18) are provided with one or several intermediary repositories (62, 82) having each a storage capacity for at least one type of money which corresponds to the amount of money required to satisfy several money requests.
Abstract:
A process and device are disclosed for implementing an intervention-supporting coherence protocol for buffer memories in multiple processor data processing equipment. A bus coupler (15a, 15c) reproduces the coherence protocol of a system bus (10) in a local bus (14a, 14c). When an intervention concerns a buffer line located in the write register (22), the bus coupler (15a, 15c) transfers the buffer line from the write register (22) to the intervention register (21) by means of the local bus (14a, 14c).
Abstract:
In a module of an electrical device with a circuit board (30) which can slide into the device and plug into a rear wall, a parallelipiped-shaped cage is connected to the circuit board (30); a cage rear wall (40) is perpendicular to the circuit board (30) and connected to it by plug connectors (42). The rear wall (40) has plug-connectors (44) for electrically connecting card- or board-shaped slide-in units (46, 48).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a front covering which, in addition to a front cover (1), comprises a function strip (2) provided immediately adjacent the latter. The function strip (2) can be equipped alternatively with a plurality of application-specific accessory modules, plug connections, connection sockets, infrared receivers or the like. A multipurpose cover (6), adapted to the respective equipment, can be fitted on the function strip (2).
Abstract:
An automatic money dispenser and receiver has a bank note receiving station (20), bank note checking and recognising means, at least one temporary storage of received bank notes, a bank note dispensing station (22), a plurality of storage units (30, 32, 34, 36) arranged in a safe housing (16) to store, feed and/or dispense bank notes, and transport means (40) which interconnect the receiving station (44), the dispensing station (52), the checking and recognising means (58) and the storage units (30, 32, 34, 36). At least one of the storage units (32, 30) contains an exchangeable storage cassette (32, 33) for bank notes to be dispensed. At least one storage unit (34, 36) has a winding storage to receive, store and dispense bank notes. The storage units (30, 32, 34, 36) are linked to a first common conveyor track (40) arranged together with the storage units (30, 32, 34, 36) in the safe housing (16). The checking and recognising means, the temporary storage and a second conveyor track that links these units to the receiving and dispensing stations (20, 22) is arranged in a headpiece (12) located outside the housing (16) in which the storage units (30, 32, 34, 36) are arranged.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device designed for the visual indication of two statuses. The device includes a small motor fitted in a cylinder with its spindle fixed to the housing. When the motor is supplied with current from a high-resistance power supply, the cylinder is rotated against the action of a spring and a coloured zone is moved out into a position in which it is visible behind a window, this rotational motion being limited in each direction by stops. Alternatively, the stops may be designed as permanent magnets and the motor supplied with pulsed current.
Abstract:
A drive system for an inking ribbon cassette firmly securable in the frame of a printer, in which a control disc is rotated in the printer depending on the direction of movement and travel of the printing head. The control disc (24) moves a rack (36) longitudinally to and fro which in turn drives the advancing mechanism of the inking ribbon cassette via a reversing device.
Abstract:
A process for operating computers to measure the efficiency of a server (11) in networked systems, in which several users (12A, 12B, 12C) draw up a load profile and measuring means (13) determine a total load factor. In the process, firstly all users are activated with the predetermined load profile, resulting in an overload situation. Then several users are deactivated at the same time until the overload situation disappears. Thereafter individual load generators are reactivated in succesion. As soon as the overload situation occurs once more, the number of users thus found is the measured efficiency number of serves in relation to the load profile.
Abstract:
Described is a method of producing cable strands laminated in a pre-defined array, the strands being movable with respect to each other in the cable and insulated by foamed polyethylene. The method calls for a composite film made of polyethylene and polytetrafluoroethylene or polyethylene terephthalate to be used as the laminate.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an operating console (1) designed for equipment fitted with a data-processing unit (2) which can be configured, as required, from peripheral units (10, 12, 14, 16) carrying out various functions and of various widths. Running under the console is a cable through-channel in which a control unit (32) common to at least one group of peripheral units can be fitted at any point.
