    Abstract: An improved way to impart antireflection properties to light transmissive substrates and, at the same time, achieve a durable surface and electrical conductivity is disclosed. A stack of at least two sputter-deposited light transmissive inorganic layers, one of which being electrically conductive and having a high index of refraction with the one above it (relative to the substrate being antireflected) having a low index of refraction, in combination with a thin lubricating overlayer comprising a solvent-soluble lubricant such as a solvent-soluble fluoropolymer can achieve this desired combination of properties.

    Abstract: HIGH PERFORMANCE, THERMALLY INSULATING MULTIPANE GLAZING STRUCTURE Multipane, insulating glazing structures having exceptional thermal insulation performance are provided. The novel multipane structures comprise two substantially parallel rigid glazing sheets spaced apart by an interior spacer of a low thermal conductivity, closed cell, foamed polymer. In a preferred embodiment, the glazing sheets are present in a four-pane structure filled with an inert gas and sealed with a gas-impermeable, continuous tape overlaying a curable, high modulus sealant. Methods for manufacturing the novel glazing structures are disclosed as well.

    Abstract: MULTIPLE PANE GLASS UNIT WITH RADIATION SHIELDING MEANS A multiple pane glass unit having a pair of spaced glass panes on opposite sides of a pair of spaced, generally parallel, electrically conductive, transparent films mounted by spacers in a taut condition in the space between the panes. The films are in electrical contact with one or more electrical conductors, such as wire cloth, and the electrical conductors are adopted to make electrical contact with ground potential. Electrically conductive transfer tape may be coupled between the outer peripheral margins of each of the films and the adjacent electrical conductor to enhance the electrical contact therebetween. The glass unit is designed to attenuate electromagnetic radiation having frequencies in the range of 10 MHz to 10 GHz.
