Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device interface by using JavaBeans(R) by constituting the device including 1 controllable device and more a memory which is connected to a medium and includes more than one JavaBeans(R) controlling a control element and more than one devices. SOLUTION: A vehicle 100 includes a vehicle central control part 110 which operates as a master for a bus 120. Additional vehicle devices 130 are also connected to the bus and controlled by the vehicle central control part. Then when a device is installed in the vehicle 100, other control elements of a processor or the vehicle central control part 110 detects the installation and requests a stored JavaBeans(R) interface from the device. Here, vehicle central control part 110 once receiving the interface can use it or replace it with an interface which is already stored in a memory.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a device without needing the knowledge for a low level command for a prescribed device by automatically converting a high level policy designated by an operator into the low level command for the prescribed device and sending it to the device through a computer network. SOLUTION: When a user 126 inputs an entry requesting the generation of a policy on a GUI: 124, a policy server 122 receives it, for instance, through an LDAP protocol interface 208 and stores it in a directory 210. A policy factory 240 generates a corresponding policy object in a Java program language based on an attribute designating a policy included in the entry and stores it in a policy storage area 220. The policy object includes data and a method for mounting the policy, communicates with a device on a network 108 and controls the device according to a policy schedule.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control devices without needing the knowledge for a low level command for each prescribed device by allowing a policy server to generate a low level command for necessary prescribed devices and to command them through a network when a high level policy for controlling the operations of the devices is inputted. SOLUTION: Devices 130 and 132 consist of prescribed devices such as a network router, a printer, a facsimile machine, a PBX telephone exchange, a copying machine and a digital camera. A user 126 inputs a high level policy controlling the operations of the devices 130 and 132, e.g. a policy inhibiting video traffic in which a network management system exceeds 30% of relative band width through a graphical user interface 124. A policy server 122 uses a processor 121 and a memory 123, converts the high level policy into a low level command for the prescribed devices and transmits it to the devices 130 and 132 through a network 108.

When the assignment of the route array has succeeded, a route tracked by the route array is inserted (S750). In the meantime, at the time of failure in assignment, the card mark indicating that the route array overflows is set (S755).

Namely, when the longest packet which is transmitted along the network and inputted to and outputted from ports 200 and 202 have 88-byte length, the buffer 216 is long enough to include at least 176 locations.
