Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the presence of a target bacteria based on its resistance to a cell lysing antibiotic of the target bacteria. SOLUTION: The method for determining the presence of a target bacteria in a sample, which target bacteria shows the resistance to a cell lysing antibiotic, is provided, wherein the method comprises following serial steps: (i) a step for incubating a sample in an incubating medium including the cell lysing antibiotic; (ii) a step for capturing unlysed cells of the target bacteria on a solid support comprising a capture agent; (iii) a step for exposing the cells to an agent capable of causing lysis of the unlysed cells of the target bacteria; and (iv) a step for determining the presence of intracellular material derived from the lysed cells of the target bacteria. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device for preventing degradation in performance of the device and facilitating an injection process of a liquid crystal by imparting mechanical strength to the device and durability against a flow of a liquid crystal material. SOLUTION: A second substrate is disposed above a wall structure 30 installed on a first substrate 12, as separated from the wall structure 30 through a plurality of beads 32; a liquid crystal material is introduced into a plurality of holes formed by the wall structure 30; then force is added to the second substrate to break the beads 32 rendering the second substrate into a close state to the wall structure 30.
