    Abstract: Provided are an electrode catalyst layer for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, which is capable of improving drainage property and gas diffusion properties and capable of high output, and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell provided with the same. An electrode catalyst layer (2, 3) bonded to a polymer electrolyte membrane (1) includes a catalyst (13), carbon particles (14), a polymer electrolyte (15) and fibrous material (16), in which the electrode catalyst layer (2,3) has a density falling within a range of 500 mg/cm3 to 900 mg/cm3, or has a density falling within a range of 400 mg/cm3 to 1000 mg/cm3, and the mass of the polymer electrolyte (15) falls within a range of 10 mass % to 200 mass % with respect to the total mass of the carbon particles (14) and the fibrous material (16).

    Abstract: A method of assessing a possibility of cancerization including culturing a cell structure including normal cells and having a vascular network structure in a presence of a biological specimen from a subject, and assessing a possibility of cancerization in the subject based on a state of vessels in the cell structure after the culturing. The biological specimen is a body fluid specimen from the subject, a cell extract of cells from the subject, or a culture supernatant of cells from the subject, and the possibility of cancerization is assessed as high in the subject when a number of cells forming the vessels in the cell structure is larger than a number of cells cultured in an absence of the body fluid specimen, or when the vascular network structure in the cell structure extends.

    Abstract: A reflective display apparatus including a reflective display portion which is two-dimensionally divided into pixels each having subpixels and changes reflectance of each subpixel based on an image signal, and colored layers facing the reflective display portion and partially overlapping the pixels as viewed in a facing direction in which the colored layers face the reflective display portion.     Abstract: A light control device includes a first transparent coating substrate having a first bonding surface, a second transparent coating substrate having a second bonding surface, a light control sheet located between the first and second bonding surfaces, and a transparent adhesive layer that joins the first and second bonding surfaces together around the light control sheet. The light control sheet includes a first transparent electrode film, a second transparent electrode film, and a liquid crystal layer including a liquid crystal composition that fills space between the first transparent electrode film and the second transparent electrode film. The light control sheet has a sheet edge face, and the transparent adhesive layer covers the sheet edge face and has a water absorption rate of 2% or less in accordance with a method of JIS K 7209:2000 A.

    Abstract: A biomolecule analysis method may include preparing a reaction container comprising an array of a plurality of micropores in which a wash buffer is filled or preparing the reaction container and feeding the wash buffer into the reaction container including the array of the plurality of micropores. The method may include feeding a reaction reagent to detect a sample, into the plurality of micropores, the sample including a biomolecule. The method may include feeding a sealing solution to seal the plurality of micropores so that the plurality of micropores become a plurality of independent reaction chambers sealed from each other. The method may include causing an isothermal detection reaction in each of the plurality of the independent reaction containers. The method may include detecting a signal amplified by the isothermal detection reaction.

    Abstract: A light control sheet including a light control layer sandwiched between first and second orientation layers and including a polymer network in which domains are dispersed and filled with a liquid crystal composition including a liquid crystal molecule and a dichroic dye, a pair of transparent electrodes sandwiching the orientation layers, and a polarizing layer positioned on an opposite side of the first orientation layer to the light control layer. The light control layer has a transmittance that increases upon application of a driving voltage to the pair of transparent electrodes. When the driving voltage is not applied between the transparent electrodes, the orientation layers orient the liquid crystal molecule and the dichroic dye horizontally to the orientation layers and orient an orient absorption ax of the dichroic dye to cross an absorption axis of the polarizing layer as viewed in a thickness direction of the light control layer.
