PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing an acai berry extract and a sprout extract is provided to suppress oxidation due to reactive oxygen, and to improve anti-oxidation, skin elasticity, anti-wrinkling, moisturization, skin regeneration, anti-inflammation, and antibacterial function. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains an acai berry extract and a sprout extract as active ingredients. The sprout extract is selected from the group consisting of a sunflower sprout extract, a Brassica Campestris sprout extract, a broccoli sprout extract, a cabbage sprout extract, a bilberry sprout extract, a Sequoiadendron giganteum sprout extract, and a peach bud extract. The composition contains 0.001-80wt% of the extracts which are mixed in a ratio of 1:10-10:1. The composition is used for anti-aging and free radical removal.

PURPOSE: An oil-in-water type cosmetic composition for UV protection is provided to easily adjust hardness and to improve applicability. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for UV protection contains silica, titanium dioxide, fatty acid, and fatty alcohol. The composition contains 0.01-5.0 wt% of the fatty acid and 0.01-8.0 wt% of the fatty alcohol. The fatty acid is selected from the group consisting of lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, isostearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, arachidonic acid, and behenic acid. The fatty alcohol includes one or more among behehyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, and stearyl alcohol. The cosmetic composition is prepared by emulsifying an oil ingredient containing the fatty acid and the fatty alcohol, and adding an oil ingredient containing hydrophilic silica and lipophilic titanium dioxide. PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing high concentration caffeine which promotes fat decomposition is provided to ensure slimming effect, and to relieve edema. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 1-10 wt% of caffeine and 1-3 wt% of niacinamide. The weight ratio of niacinamide with respect to caffeine is 0.5-2. The cosmetic composition promotes the decomposition of fat.

CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for UV protection contains 1-10 wt% of hydrolyzed wheat protein/PVP crosspolymers and 5-30 wt% of silicon elastomer as an active ingredient. The molecular weight of the crosspolymer is 1,000-1,000,000 dalton. The silicon elastomer is contained in a powder form, paste form, or combination thereof. The viscosity of the cosmetic composition is 10,000-50,000 CPS. The cosmetic composition is applied to an applicator of a brush, puff, roll-on, roller, or sponge tip type.

PURPOSE: A composition containing cinnamic acid derivatives, methoxy phenyl acrylate derivatives, and beta,beta-diphenylacrylate derivatives is provided to improve photo stability. CONSTITUTION: A composition for sun screening contains cinnamic acid derivatives, methoxy phenyl acrylate derivatives, and beta-beta-diphenyl acrylate derivatives as an active ingredient. The methoxy phenyl acrylate derivative is ethyl hexyl methoxy crylene. The beta-beta-diphenyl acrylate derivative includes octocrylene, etocrylene, or both. The composition further contains triazine derivatives, salicylic acid derivatives, and benzalmalonate derivatives.

PURPOSE: A method for evaluating efficiency of UV protector is provided to measure cell apoptosis rate and to accurately protect UV ray. CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating efficiency of UV protector comprises: a step of applying an UV protector onto UV permeable material; a step of irradiating UV onto the upper portion of the UV permeable material; and a step of measuring cell death of skin cells. The UV permeable material is a quartz plate or band pass filter. The skin cells include keratinocytes, fibroblasts, or melanocytes. The cell death includes apoptosis and necrosis.
