A food composition containing ginseng extract for atopic dermatitis improvement is provided to improve atopic dermatitis or xeroderma. A method for producing food composition containing ginseng extract comprises: a step of adding water or ethanol to dehydrated ginseng which is obtained by sun-drying or heat-drying a sarcocarp and a pericarp of ginseng fruit; a step of adding 3L of ethanol per 1kg of dehydrated ginseng fruit and underpressure-concentrating at 40~45°C to obtain 300g of ginseng fruit extract; and a step of treating the extracts with ether to remove fat-soluble component, isolating and concentrating crude saponin with buthanol, and analyzing ginsenoside component. The crude saponin content of ginseng fruit extract is two times more than that of ginseng root extract.

A method for preparing diosmetin is provided to obtain the diosmetin which promotes biosynthesis of a type I pro-collagen by decreasing biosynthesis of MMP-1 caused by UV. A cosmetic composition comprising the diosmetin is provided to show excellent skin anti-aging and wrinkle improving effects. A method for preparing diosmetin comprises the steps of: (a) obtaining a lemon peel extract using an organic solvent; (b) preparing a hydrolysate from the extract using an acid, a base or an enzyme; and (c) purifying the hydrolysate using silica gel column chromatography. A cosmetic composition comprises 0.0001-5 wt.% of the diosmetin as an effective ingredient. Further, the cosmetic composition is in a form of cosmetic water, cream, essence, eye cream, eye essence, cleansing cream, cleansing form, cleansing water, pack, powder, body lotion, body cream, body oil or body essence.

A cosmetic composition comprising melanoidin is provided to improve wrinkles, promote collagen synthesis, recover skin damaged by the light contact, and show excellent skin anti-aging and moisturizing effects. A cosmetic composition comprises maillard reaction products generated during the red ginseng preparation, wherein the maillard reaction products in which saponin and oil-soluble ingredients are removed are separated through a dialysis membrane into a first fraction and an extra-solution of the dialysis, and the extra-solution is separated through gel-chromatography into a second fraction and a third fraction. The first fraction comprises melanoidin polymer having a molecular weight of less than 4,800, xylose, glucose, arginine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, lysine, glycine and phenylalanine, the second fraction comprises maltulosyl arginine having a molecular weight of less than 4,000, serine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, alanine, lysine and arginine, and a third fraction comprises fructosyl arginine having a molecular weight of less than 2,000, xylose, fructose, glucose, glycine, serine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid. The dried weight of the maillard reaction products regarding the total cosmetic composition is 10^-8-50 wt.%.
