따라서 계측대상자와 계측자가 대화를 하거나 지문을 읽으면서 말더듬이 발생하는 동시에 버튼을 누르는 방식으로 측정을 하여 정확한 말더듬 횟수와 빈도를 측정하고 시각적인 피드백을 제공하여 치료에 실질적인 도움을 받을 수 있도록 한 것이다.
