Disclosed are a hearing apparatus for measuring a distance between the hearing apparatus and an eardrum and a method thereof. The hearing apparatus includes a signal output unit which outputs a first measurement signal for measuring the distance between the hearing apparatus and the eardrum, a signal identifying unit which identifies a second measurement signal obtained by reflecting and modulating the first measurement signal in the eardrum from a voice signal collected by a microphone, and a distance determining unit which determines a distance between the eardrum and the hearing apparatus by comparing the first measurement signal with the second measurement signal.

Disclosed are an apparatus and method for compensating hearing impairment, capable of compensating distortion due to the variation of a sound transmission path, using the hearing property of a user. The apparatus for compensating hearing impairment includes: a sound direction detecting unit which detects a sound generation direction using a plurality of microphones; and a sound compensating unit which compensates the sound by using the hearing property of the user corresponding to the sound generation direction.

According to various embodiments of the present invention, provided are a module mounting structure and an electronic device including the same. The electronic device includes a bracket which includes an opening part for receiving a module, a support rib which is upwardly extended along the edge of the opening part and supports the outer surface of the mounted module, and at least two hitching protrusion parts which protrude from the outer surface of the module and support the module to be hitched to the bracket without complete penetration through the opening part. A part of the lower side of the module is inserted into the opening part of the bracket. An assembling property is improved and manufacturing costs are reduced by changing only the structures of the module and the bracket. Also, the electronic device is slimmed.

The noise processing method includes a step of pairing with a home appliance when the pre-registered home appliance is operated; a step of extracting noise characteristic information of the paired home appliance based on identifiable information of the paired home appliance; and a step of processing noises of the home appliance included in an input signal based on the noise characteristic information.

PURPOSE: A multimedia playing device for outputting a modulated sound according to a hearing characteristic of a user and a method for performing thereof are provided to inspect a hearing of the user conveniently and rapidly by obtaining the hearing characteristic of the user by using more than one phoneme. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia playing device for outputting a modulated sound according to a hearing characteristic of a user and a method for performing thereof comprise the following steps: a sound output unit (110) outputs 'a sound consisting of at least one phoneme'; a user interface unit (120) inputs a response of a user about the outputted sound; and a processor (130) obtains a hearing characteristic of the user according to each frequency band based on the user response, and determines an output level or an output time gap by the frequency band of the outputted sound based on the obtained hearing characteristic.
