Abstract: PURPOSE: A non-woven fabric which is fabricated by mixing kapok fiber and water dispersion binders is provided to ensure excellent form stability and sound absorption without dust caused by cutting fiber. CONSTITUTION: A non-woven fabric of kapok fiber is fabricated by kapok fibers with mixing water soluble or water dispersion binders. The kapok fiber is a staple fiber of 1-10mm of length. The water soluble or water dispersion binder is a water dispersion polyurethane, water dispersion acryl, water dispersion polycarbonate, polyvinyl alcohol, or carboxy methyl cellulose. A method for fabricating the non-woven fabric comprises: a step of cutting the kapok fibers in a length of 1-10mm; a step of mixing the kapok fiber, water dispersion binder, and surfactant with dispersion medium to prepare a dispersion solution; and a step of forming a web using the dispersion solution.
