A signal transmission method is provided to apply transmission diversity methods of BCH(Broadcast Channel) information variously according to a distance between SCH(Synchronization Channel) information and the BCH information, thereby magnifying a time diversity gain within a TTI(Transmission Time Interval). Plural SCH and BCH symbols are assigned to plural symbol intervals, respectively. The first transmission diversity method is applied to the SCH symbols and BCH symbols adjacent to the SCH symbols. The second transmission diversity method is applied to the BCH symbols isolated from the SCH symbols. The SCH symbols and the BCH symbols are transmitted.

A random access preamble structure is provided to realize frequency domain at a receiving end through by maintaining preamble sequence used in base preamble equally and extending a CP(cyclic prefix) corresponded to the maximum round trip delay time according to extended cell radius. A method for generating a random access preamble in an extended cell environment comprising: generating a CP(cyclic prefix) which is the sum of a maximum delay spread and the maximum round trip delay time according to the extended cell radius; generating a preamble sequence part.

A random access channel allocation method for a scalable bandwidth and a random access method and apparatus are provided to map to time and frequency resources of a random access channel. A terminal compares a reception bandwidth of a base station and a transmission bandwidth of the terminal(S710). If the reception bandwidth of the base station is larger than that of the terminal, the terminal selects one of left and right regions based on a central frequency of the reception band and determines it as a transmission band(S730). The terminal selects one of random access channels allocated to a reception band corresponding to the determined transmission band(S750) and transmits a random access preamble to the selected random access channel(S790).

A method for transmitting a signal and information of an antenna, and a method for estimating the number of antennas are provided to enable a mobile station to demodulate a BCH(Broadcast Channel) as channel response obtained through a SCH(Synchronization Channel) by applying the multiple free coding vectors to the BCH and SCH timely close to each other. A base station creates a plurality of SCH symbols out of a cell group identifier and a cell identifier, at this time a part of information about the number of transmission antennas is added to the synchronization channel symbols(S210). The base station creates BCH symbols out of the rest information about the number of transmission antennas(S220). The base station creates a downstream frame by disposing the SCH symbols and the BCH symbols in a symbol section respectively(S230). And the base station transmits the downstream frame(S240).

A method and an apparatus for transmitting an uplink signal, and a method and an apparatus for generating the uplink signal in a communication system are provided to randomize the interference between users and between cells in a frequency domain CDM(Cond Division Multiplexing) method. A method for transmitting an uplink signal in a terminal comprises the steps of: transmitting a first transmission symbol multiplied by a first sequence for distinguishing the terminal from other terminal, in a first transmission time; and transmitting a second transmission symbol multiplied by a second sequence for distinguishing the terminal from other terminal, in a second transmission time which is different from the first transmission time. The second sequence is different from the first sequence.

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting control information in a wireless telecommunication system is provided to efficiently classify a plurality of terminals by using a spreading code using a time axis and a frequency axis. CONSTITUTION: An orthogonal sequence element of a frequency domain having orthogonality is multiplied with the orthogonal sequence element of a time domain in the frequency domain cyclically shifted with a predetermined cyclic shift value. A symbol, in which the orthogonal sequence of the time domain and the orthogonal sequence of the time domain are multiplied, is mapped in an uplink control channel. The uplink control channel is transmitted to a base station. The uplink control channel has 7 OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbols having a fixed length per slot. A first OFDM symbol, a second OFDM symbol, a sixth OFDM symbol, and a seventh OFDM symbol are used for transmitting control information. A third OFDM symbol, a fourth OFDM symbol, and a fifth OFDM symbol are used to transmit a reference signal.

PURPOSE: A method and device for transmitting/generating an uplink signal of a communication system are provided to change a cyclic shift according to time, thereby randomizing interferences between users and cells. CONSTITUTION: An RF receiving unit(210) receives K user signals transmitted from K terminals and converts the K user signals into baseband signals. An analog to digital converter(220) converts a baseband signal into a digital receiving signal. A CP eliminating unit(230) eliminates a CP(Cyclic Prefix) from the digital receiving signal. A serial/parallel converting unit(240) converts the signal from which the CP is eliminated into a parallel receiving signal. An FFT(250) converts the parallel receiving signal into a frequency domain receiving signal by fast Fourier transform.
