Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for setting up a designated path for guide broadcasting in an intelligent information provision system are provided to set up a designation path for testing guide broadcasting without a service controller. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and a method for setting up a designated path for guide broadcasting in an intelligent information provision system comprise an operator interface portion(12), a protocol processing portion(24), a call processing portion(26), a resource processing portion(32), and a control portion for setting up designation path of guide broadcasting(22). The operator interface portion processes a command for setting up a designation path received from an operator. The protocol processing portion sets up a signal. The call processing portion connects channels to each other. The resource processing portion processes and provides resources. The control portion for setting up designation path of guide broadcasting analyzes the received command, controls setting up for the designation path, and reports processed result.
