Abstract:
PURPOSE: A broadband local wireless communication device and method thereof are provided to use both a detour link using a relay node to a communication between a source node and a target node and a direct line between the source node and the target node. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(720) determines a first time interval and a second time interval for cooperated data frame transfer by considering packet transmission time to a target node from a source node. A transfer unit(740) transmits a frame to the relay node through a directed antenna pattern which is desired to a relay node in a start point of the first interval. The transfer unit transmits the frame to the target node through an antenna pattern which is desired to the target node after a predetermined time has passed from a starting point of the second time interval.

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for time synchronization of distributed nodes over a wideband high frequency wireless system are provided to modify a MAC interface clock through the maximum operation offset among calculated operation offsets. CONSTITUTION: A MAC scheduler calculates an operation offset through the confirmation of a receiving node clock and a transmitting node clock(520), and stores the maximum operation offset by comparing calculated operation offset with the stored operation offset. If the completion of data reception is sensed, the MAC scheduler applies an RX_EN as 0(524). If the reception of a super frame is completed, the MAC scheduler modifies a MAC interface clock(528,530).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A transmitting method using a superposition coding in a relay network is provided to restore a base data and an enhanced data by receiving the superposition coded data from a transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A transmitter(110) transmits the superposition coded data of a base data and an enhanced data during a first time period to a relay(120) and a receiver(130). The relay restores the base data and the enhanced data. According to the recovery state, the recovered enhanced data or the recovered base data is transmitted to the transmitter. The receiver receives the superposition coded data or the relay data.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for in the super broadband wireless communications system, the frame including the protocol version is and receive transmitted improves the decoding delay problem due to the Reed-Solomon code by including the information about modulation and coding scheme in the fixed length physical layer header. CONSTITUTION: The frame maker(320) is created the PPDU frame including the PLCP(Physical Layer Convergence Protocol) preamble, PLCP header, and the PPDU(PHY Protocol Data Unit) payload and antenna training sequence. In the mode insertion part(324) is the generating process of the PPDU frame, the mode of the first segment is included in the fixed length physical layer header of the PLCP header.

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for spatial reuse by assistance of distributed devices over a wireless system using directional antennas are provided to enhance the system capacity through spatial reuse. CONSTITUTION: A channel selecting unit(1716) selects a communication channel by using the information on the resources previously allocated for each communication and the information a scan result for each communication channel of a destination device. A resource allocation request unit(1717) requests the resources from the destination device based on those two kinds of information. The resource allocation request unit receives the resources from the destination device.

PURPOSE: A channel selection method in a wideband high frequency wireless system and a device thereof are provided to scan not only single channel but also bonded channels and to reduce setting time of not only a direct path between a source device and a destination device but also a detour path in a wideband high frequency wireless system using an MAC(Media Access Control) protocol of a distribution method. CONSTITUTION: A channel scanning request frame generating unit(310) decides a channel to be scanned by a neighbor device among available channels and generates a channel scan request frame directing the channel to be scanned by a neighbor device. A transceiving unit(350) transmits the frame to the neighbor device and receives a response message from the neighbor device. A channel scanning unit(320) scans a channel except the channel to be scanned by a neighbor device. A channel selecting/switching unit(330) selects a channel for communicating with the neighbor device based on the response message and performs a channel switching to the selected channel.

PURPOSE: A protocol header configuring method and a device thereof are provided to reduce a process time due to a zero byte stuffing and a RS(Reed Solomom) decoding by using a repetition code instead of a shortened RS code. CONSTITUTION: A protocol header has a fixed length physical layer header(121) including information about the number of a MAC(Media Access Control Layer) service data unit. The protocol header has a variable length physical layer header(123) including information about a segment comprising a payload. The protocol header has a MAC header including information about the MAC service data unit. The protocol header comprises the fixed length physical layer header, the variable length physical layer header and a header check sequence for an error check about the combination of the variable length physical layer header.

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for packet aggregation according to traffic characteristics are provided to decide the selective retransmission in consideration of the traffic type and property at each MSDU within the combination generation MPDU. CONSTITUTION: The high position layer control part(110) generates the traffic characteristic information about a plurality of pulse service data unit(MSDU)s, and plurality of MSDUs. The pulse layer control part(120) decides the sequence number about a plurality of MSDUs based on the traffic characteristic information about a plurality of MSDUs. According to the sequence number about a plurality of MSDUs, the pulse layer control part generates the combination generation MAC protocol data unit(MPDU). The physical layer control part(130) transmits the combination generation MPDU to the destination location.
