Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for preventing falling accidents of a railway platform is provided to detect falling accidents in relatively wide areas by detecting falling using a doppler sensor. CONSTITUTION: A system for preventing falling accidents of a railway platform comprises a doppler sensor(2), a gateway(3), a station office monitoring device(4), an emergency signal broadcasting device(5), an emergency receiving device(6), a central control computer(8), and a train computer(9). The doppler sensor receives microwaves reflected after sending the microwaves and compares frequency. The gateway is wirelessly connected with the doppler sensor to distinguish identification of the doppler sensor. The station office monitoring device is connected with the gateway via wire. The emergency signal broadcasting device is wirelessly connected with the gateway. The emergency signal receiving device is wirelessly connected with the emergency signal broadcasting device. The central control computer is connected to the station office monitoring device through an external network. The train computer is connected with the central control computer by an ATS(Automatic Train Stop) system for automatically stopping trains.
