    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make always stable detection of a liquid level without being affected by ambient environment and without generating inter-device errors by using the pressure in an air hose during the course of nozzle descending as the reference value for detecting and deciding the liquid level. CONSTITUTION:Air is first sucked 10 in a nozzle tip 14 and the pressure in the air hose 12 is maintained at an atm. pressure level. The nozzle tip 14 is moved toward the top of a specimen tube 16 by a prescribed actuator. While the air sucked from the front end of the nozzle tip 14 is discharged 10, the nozzle tip is lowered toward the liquid level of the specimen tube 16. The pressure in the air hose obtd. by sampling after the prescribed time from the start of descending of the nozzle tip 14 by the command from an MPU 28 to an LSU 26 is simultaneously set as a reference value. The change of the pressure in the air hose with respect to the reference value which takes place when the suction port of the nozzle tip 14 is closed by contact with the liquid level is then detected and decision is made that the front end of the nozzle arrives at the liquid level when such change is confirmed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To elevate the efficiency of distributing work, by arranging a detector section adapted to detect abnormal condition without stopping the action of a distributor during the operation thereof and a printer which records abnormal condition by the output signal from the detector section. CONSTITUTION:A reflection type photointerrupter 42 as another detector section is mounted at the end rim of a base 16a of a table 16 and light from a light emitting element of the interrupter 42 causes a reaction on the surface of a test tube 20 moved to the sampling position so that the reflected light will hit a light receiving element of the reflection type photointerrupter 42. Then, an output signal is outputted from the reflection type photointerrupter 42 only when the test tube 20 exists to be inputted into a microcomputer 38 and the sample number is recorded on a recording paper of a printer 14 for other abnormal conditions in noway requiring the stoppage of the operation of the distributor, for example, the test tube 20 left on a test tube rack 18, not coming off it. Thus, an operator can learn the details of abnormality from the recording paper after the end of the distributing work and can continue the distributing work.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate adverse effect due to the residue of a distribution liquid, by sampling a plurality of distribution liquids sequentially by the same nozzle with an air layer interposed therebetween while the nozzle tip is cleaned up by a cleaning liquid at each sampling. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 50 for sampling a distribution is allowed to move vertically with a handler 52, made up of a cleaning space part 68b and upper and lower paths 68a and 68c and made to run through a cleaning section body 68 through which a leaning liquid 74 from a supply tank 72 to be recovered into a recovery tank 82. Then, the nozzle 50 sucks a sample 92a from a sample container 92 and then, a small amount of air to form an air layer while being cleaned up at the tip thereof 50 in the cleaning section body 68. Subsequently, a sample 90a is sucked from the subsequent container 90 and the same operation is repeated. Thus, the cleaning is done at each sampling thereby enabling highly accurate distribution of a plurality of distribution liquids with one nozzle 50.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform automatic dispensing easily and accurately irrespectively of the amount of the sample in a vessel by detecting the liquid level of the sample and controlling the initial position for nozzle tip suction. CONSTITUTION:When a suction cylinder 14 and a conduit 20 are connected by a valve 24, negative pressure is uniformly supplied from a detecting pressure supplying device 22 through the conduit 20, by which the pressures in the opening parts of the nozzle tips 16 and 18a parts of the cylinder 14 and open line 18 which are of the same size and shape and of the same fluid resistance are made equal. In this state, the cylinder 14 is lowered into a vessel 10 until the tip 16 contacts a sample 12, and when the opening part thereof is closed, a sharp differential pressure is detected by a differential pressure detector 28. Based on the liquid level detection signal of this sample, the initial position of the nozzle 16 is automatically controlled by way of a signal deciding device 32 or the like, and the automatic dispensing is accomplished accurately and easily irrespectively of the amount of the sample in the vessel.
