Abstract:
A gas-phase process for the homopolymerization or copolymerization of propylene with other olefins, including carrying out the polymerization in the presence of a catalyst system made from or containing: (a) a solid catalyst component made from or containing Mg, Ti, halogen, an electron donor selected from 1.3-diethers and an olefin polymer in a specific amount; (b) an aluminum alkyl compound and (c) an external electron donor (ED) compound, wherein components (b) and (c) being employed in amounts such that the Al/(ED) molar ratio ranges from about 2 to about 200.
Abstract:
A pre-polymerized catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins, characterized by comprising a non-stereospecific solid catalyst component, comprising Ti, Mg and a halogen and an amount of a (co)polymer of an alpha-olefin CH 2 =CHR1, wherein R is a C 1 C 12 hydrocarbon group, ranging from 0.1 up to 500g per g of said solid catalyst component, said (co)polymer being characterized by an isotacticity, expressed in terms isotactic pentads, of higher than 60% molar and by an intrinsic viscosity, measured in tetraline at 135°C, of at least 1.0 dL/g.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to catalysts component for the polymerization of ethylene and its mixtures with olefins CH 2 =CHR, wherein R is an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical having 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising Ti, Mg, halogen, and electron donor belonging to 1,2-diethers as internal electron donor compound. The catalyst of the invention is suitably used in (co)polymerization processes of ethylene to prepare (co)polymers having narrow Molecular Weight Distribution (MWD) and high bulk density.
Abstract:
A solid catalyst component comprising Ti, Mg, halogen and a couple of monofunctional electron donor compounds MD1 and MD2 selected from esters and ethers, said donors being present in amounts such that the molar ratio MD1/MD2 ranges from 20 to 800. The so obtained catalyst component when converted into a catalyst is able to produce ethylene polymers with good morphological properties even under drastic polymerization conditions.
Abstract:
Catalyst system for the polymerization of olefins CH2=CHR, wherein R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical having 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising the product of the reaction between (a) a solid catalyst component comprising Mg, Ti, and halogen, (b) dimethylaluminium chloride (DMAC) and (c) an alkylaluminium compound, in which the molar ratio between (b) and (c) is lower than 10. This kind of catalyst system is particularly suitable for the preparation of copolymers of ethylene with α-olefins due to its high capacity for incorporating the comonomer while at the same time maintaining high yields.
