Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate a transfer shift, i.e. color shift by providing each image formation medium with an independent driving source and setting the transfer position distance between mutually adjacent image formation media to an integral multiple of the peripheral length of the image formation media. CONSTITUTION:Respective photosensitive drums 1a-1c are driven by independent driving means having driving motors 13a-13c and equipped with gears 11a-11c which engage output gears 12a-12c of the driving motors; and phase marks (reflecting mark) 14a-14c are added to the gears 11a-11c and photosensors 15a-15c for detecting the reflection marks are provided to a device main body. Here, transfer position intervals H1 and H2 of the drums are set to the integral multiple of the drum peripheral length and then the sensors 15a-15c are only assembled in phase with the center lines of the drums 1a-1c to adjust the expansion/contraction phase of an image at each transfer position automatically. Consequently, there is no transfer shift among respective image stations.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a multiplex image with high quality, by applying feedback control on an image carrier moving means, and a moving member driving means based on a speed detecting signal, so as not to generate the dislocation of an image at the time of transferring an appeared image. CONSTITUTION:The moving member driving means provided being abutted with a carrying belt 2, and drives the carrying belt 2 by detecting the travel speed of the carrying belt, namely, a speed detecting roller 64 set rotatably freely whose circumferential length which detects the speed of a motor is set at the half of a distance between photosensitive drums 9a-9b, is provided on the just upper part of a driving roller 4. And the feedback control is applied on the image carrier moving means which drives each of the photosensitive drums 9a-9d, in other words, driving of the motor and the motor driving the carrying belt 2, so as not to generate the dislocation of the appeared image being transcribed on a transfer material P corresponding to the rotation of the speed detecting roller 64, or the aberration of a multiplexed transfer image. In this way, it is possible to obtain the image with superior quality, or the multiplex image with high quality.

CONSTITUTION:In an image forming device provided with plural image forming stations Pa-Pd and a moving body 6a to be moved and passed adjacently to the image carriers 1Y-1BK to transfer images formed on the image carriers 1T-1BK by respective image forming stations Pa-Pd, the image carriers 1Y-1BK and the chargers 2Y-2BK are driven in the image forming stations Pa-Pd canceling the image formation, the chargers 2Y-2BK are operated so as to charge the image carriers 1Y-1BK with the same polarity as the charge of a toner image passed through the positions of the image carriers 1Y-1BK and other image forming means in the image forming stations Pa-Pd are disabled. Consequently, an image of excellent picture quality can be obtained even at the time of image formation in a monochromatic mode and troubles at the time of generating jam of a transfer material can be removed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a defect image and to easily load/unload an image carrier to/from a device body by coupling a driving means with the image carrier by the forward operation of the driving means and releasing said coupling by the reverse operation of the driving means. CONSTITUTION:In order to load a drum 1 to the device body, a driving shaft 20 is engaged with both the engaging parts, i.e. an engaging collar part 112a and a hole 112b, of the drum 1 and a motor 100 is rotated in the forward direction to rotate the driving shaft 20. Since the drum 1 is stopped rotating by the pressing force of a pad 117, screws 111a, 111b are relatively clamped and a boss part 110 is fixed on a position where the part 110 is abutted upon the driving shaft 20. Consequently, the coaxial degree of both the boss part 110 and driving shaft 20 is guaranteed by the engagement of the collar part 112a with the hole 112b and the clamping of both the screws 111a, 111b, so that the generation of defective images is sharply reduced. In case of removing the drum 1 from the device body, the motor 100 is reversed to disengage the screws 111a, 111b from each other.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To avoid the image shift of a transfer image to a transfer material, and to obtain an image having a good quality, by providing a driving means on a transfer material carrying belt or a transfer material carrying-out end side of an image receiving body, and providing a speed detecting means on a transfer material carrying-in end side. CONSTITUTION:Transfer paper 13 is carried in the direction as indicated with an arrow 16 on a passing area 14 of a carrying belt 2 as the belt is driven in the direction as indicated with an arrow 7, carried successively onto image forming drums 1Y, 1M, and 1C, and brought to a multiple transfer, and a color image is formed. The driving speed of the carrying belt 2 is detected by a speed detecting roller 8 provided on a transfer material carrying-in end side, and based on the result of its detection, a control circuit 11 controls the driving of a motor 12. A driving roller 5 which is driven by the motor 12 is provided on a transfer material carrying-out end side, and by the driving roller 5, a tension is given to a part of the passing area 14 of the transfer material 13, therefore, an elastic deformation and sagging of the carrying belt 2 are absorbed and the driving speed of the carrying belt 2 can be detected.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease the time required for the jam processing of a transfer material, to easily execute a maintenance, and also, to miniaturize a device, by providing pinch rollers such as a driving roller and a speed detecting roller, etc., which are driven by abutting on a carrying belt, so that they can be allowed to contact and separated freely with and from a carrying unit. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material carrying device is placed in the lower part of photosensitive drums 1Y, 1M, and 1C. This carrying device is constituted of a carrying unit in which rollers 3, 4 and 5 attached so as to be freely rotatable to a frame body 22 consisting of side plates 23, 24, can move in the upper and lower directions in an image forming device through fitting members 25, 26, and accordingly, can be allowed to contact and separated freely with and from the photosensitive drum. Also, pinch rollers such as a driving roller 6 and a speed detecting roller 8, etc., are not attached to the carrying unit but attached to the image forming device side. Accordingly, when a transfer material 13 is jammed, etc., when the frame body 22 is made to descend, the outer peripheral surface of a carrying belt is released from the pressure of the driving roller 6 and the detecting roller 8, therefore, a jam processing can be easily executed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a conveyor belt from shifting laterally or longitudinally and to eliminate the transfer shift of a color image by fixing a filmy reinforcing material to the belt base cloth of a transfer material conveyor belt and also fixing a guide rib corresponding to the reinforcing member, and giving the conveyor belt rigidity. CONSTITUTION:The conveyor belt 100 is formed by fixing the reinforcing material film sheet 100B to one end part of belt base cloth 100A made of screen meshes and further fixing the guide rib 10C thereupon. The fixation positions of the reinforcing material film sheet 100B and guide rib 100C to the belt base cloth 100A are not positions where the transfer material of the belt base cloth 100A is conveyed and correspond to guide grooves 11b-14b and 104b of rollers 11-14 and a backup roller 104. Thus, the guide rib 100C is fixed to the reinforcing material film sheet 100B which has rigidity and high tensile strength while facing the respective guide grooves, so the rib faces a thrust force operating on the conveyor belt 100 and maintains perpendicularity, so that the conveyor belt 100 is prevented from being shifted laterally or longitudinally.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate and sharp image and to reduce the size of the whole device while holding accurate paper intervals during continuous paper feeding by detecting a curl part formed on a transfer material by a detecting means and controlling the peripheral speeds of a couple of rollers by a speed control means with the signal obtained by the detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 10 as the detecting means is arranged between a photosensitive drum 24 and a fixing roller 11 and, for example, a light source, a phototransistor, an ultrasonic sensor, etc., are used to detect the quantity of deformation of the curl part of the transfer material S. The peripheral speed VR1 of a fixing roller 11 is a little bit slower than the speed VB of a conveyor belt 5 before the transfer material S reaches the fixing roller 11. Then, when the transfer material S reaches the fixing roller 11, a curl part (b) is formed on the transfer material S because of the difference between the speed VB of the conveyor belt 5 and the peripheral speed VR1 of the fixing roller 11, the quantity of deformation of the curl part (b) increases as fixation proceeds, and the curl part (b) is detected by the sensor 10. The peripheral speed of the fixing roller 11 is switched to faster than the speed of the conveyor belt 5 corresponding to the output signal of the sensor 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate an irregularity in the speed of an image formation medium, and to eliminate the deviation of transfer and to form excellent images by pressing a rotary shaft and a driving shaft axially against each other and fitting a conic shaft body in a conic recessed part, and transmitting the driving force from the driving shaft to the image formation medium. CONSTITUTION:The rotary shaft 21a is fixed on the flange 21 of a photosensitive drum 1 and made into the conic shaft body, which is fitted in the conic recessed part 20a formed at an end part of the driving shaft 20 arranged on the same axis with the rotary shaft 21a. Further, a pressing means 30 is provided between the end part of the photosensitive drum 1 and a centering plate 13 and the photosensitive drum 1 is pressed toward the driving shaft 20. The pressing means 30 presses a pressure ring 31 toward the photosensitive drum 1. When the pressing means 30 presses the photosensitive drum 1 to left, the rotary shaft 21a of the photosensitive drum 1 is fitted in the recessed part 20a of the driving shaft 20 and the driving shaft 20 and rotary shaft 21 have both axes matched automatically with each other, so that the both enter an interference fit state and couples with each other by friction.

CONSTITUTION:The picture data representing the contrast of the picture is outputted from a picture reader 2 and a code data is outputted from document generating device 3 and they are added to a layout generating device 4. The data edited by the layout generating device 4 is transmitted to a reception station 5 via a transmission line L and the content is identified at first by a data identifier 12. The picture data is inputted to a pattern generator 8 storing 17 ways of dot patterns via a buffer memory 6 in response to the result of identification, and the code data is inputted to a character generator section 9 via a buffer memory 7. After outputs are synthesized by an OR circuit 10, the color picture is recorded on a color printer 11.
