Abstract: Corrosion inhibitors for water-carrying heating and cooling systems have the following compositions: (A) 57-89.5% of a product obtd. by reacting a C12-C24 aromatic, alkylaromatic, aliphatic or cycloaliphatic sulphonyl chloride either with NH3 or lower primary aliphatic amines and the halogenocarboxylic acids (preferably chloroacetic or chloropropionic acids) in the presence of alkali or with C2-C9 aminocarboxylic acids in the presence of alkali; the product may also be converted to the mono-, di-, triethanolamine, morpholino or cyclohexylamine salts. (B) 5-30% of a fatty acid sarcosinate of the formula: (in which R' is C11-C17 satd. or unsatd. alkyl, Y is an alkali metal, mono-, di-, triethanolamine, morpholino- or cyclohexylamino cation). (C) 5-10% cyclohexylamine or morpholine, (D) 0.5-3% benzotriazole and/or 2-mercaptobenzothiazole.
