Abstract:
Provided are a hair cosmetic composition comprising an ether type cationic surfactant represented by the following formula (1): wherein, R1 represents a linear or branched C6-24 alkyl or alkenyl group, R2 and R4 each represents a C1-6 alkyl group or —(AO)nH (A: a C2-4 alkylene group, n: a number of from 1 to 6 with the proviso that n pieces of A may be the same or different and their sequence is optional), R3 represents a C1-6 alkyl group or —(A′O)mH (A′: a C2-4 alkylene group, m: a number of from 1 to 6 with the proviso that m pieces of A may be the same or different and their sequence is optional), and X− represents an anion; a hair cleansing composition containing the cationic surfactant(1); and a method of treating hair with these compositions. The hair cosmetic composition of the present invention can impart good flexibility and smoothness to hair not only when it is wetted but also after drying. When used as a hair cleansing composition, it provides excellent quality of foam and feeling upon use and exhibits good low-temperature stability.
Abstract:
A chip inductor is made up of a coiled conducting wire and a magnetic member which is formed by sintering and in which the coiled conducting wire is embedded. Both end portions of the coiled conducting wire are exposed to both end surfaces of the magnetic member. External electrodes are formed with conducting thin films and are connected to respective end portions of the coiled conducting wire. An inorganic material is interposed in a clearance between winds of both end portions of the conducting wire and external surfaces of the magnetic member and a clearance between adjoining winds of the conducting wire.
Abstract:
An acoustic echo canceler and a side-tone echo canceler provided in a hands-free telephone suppress an acoustic echo and a side-tone echo respectively with few error by providing automatic gain controllers and/or limiters in the hands-free telephone so that the acoustic echo canceler and the side-tone echo canceler operate in linear, and a directional characteristic of a microphone used in the hands-free telephone for reducing the acoustic echo is controlled by a microphone direction controller so that the microphone operates as an omnidirectional microphone when a level of a received signal of the hands-free telephone is less than a designated level and as a bidirectional microphone when the level exceeds the designated level, further gains of an output of the microphone increases in a low frequency range.
Abstract:
A fast reaction steering mechanism including a variable ratio gear mechanism connected in series with a speed increasing gear mechanism which is disposed in a steering transmission for transmitting rotation of a steering wheel to a steering gear box, the variable ratio gear mechanism comprising a first gear connected to the steering wheel having an effective radius gradually increasing with an increasing steering angle and a second gear connected to the steering box having an effective radius gradually decreasing with an increasing steering angle, and, with the steering angle at its central position, a smallest-radius portion of the first gear engaging with a largest-radius portion of the second gear, thereby providing a maximum steering angle by a reduced rotation of the steering wheel.
Abstract:
A microprocessor chip including a ROM portion for storing a microprogram, an execution unit portion for executing an arithmetic operation and random logic circuits disposed between the ROM portion and the execution unit portion. Two-level metal lines technology is used for supplying power for grounding and for providing input/output interconnect lines for the random logic circuits.
Abstract:
A four-wheel steering apparatus for a vehicle includes a hydraulic actuator for steering the rear wheels, and first and second oil pumps. An in-phase steering control valve is connected between the first oil pump and the actuator and outputs first hydraulic output for steering the rear wheels in phase with the front wheels in accordance with a steering state of the front wheels. An antiphase steering control valve is connected between the second oil pump and the actuator and outputs second hydraulic output for steering the rear wheels in opposite phase to the front wheels in accordance with a rate of change in the steering state of the front wheels. The hydraulic actuator combines the first and second hydraulic outputs from the control valves and steers the rear wheels in accordance with the difference between the hydraulic outputs.
Abstract:
An electronic telephone terminal having a transmitter and a receiver, both having an approximately linear acoustic-to-electric transduction characteristics, and having a surrounding noise suppression function, and including a variable attenuator for controlling a gain of a transmission system; a noise detection device for detecting surrounding noise; and a control device for controlling the variable attenuator in such a manner that when a sound pressure level input to the transmitter exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the gain is fixedly set to a constant value, and when the input sound pressure level is equal to or below the predetermined threshold level, the gain is controlled in response to a change in the surrounding noise level detected by the noise detection device.
