PURPOSE:To obtain a creamy detergent composition, containing a specific quater nary ammonium salt type compound and a cationic surfactant, having good foaming with low irritancy and excellent in conditioning properties. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition containing (A) a quaternary ammonium salt type compound, having secondary or tertiary amino group and quaternary ammonium group in an aliphatic chain or an ether, an ester or an acyl compound having the aliphatic chain and preferably expressed by formula I [R is 7-21C alkyl or alkenyl; R to R are 1-4C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; M is -CONG(G is H, 1-3C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl), -O- or -COO-; Y is H, 1-3C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl] and (B) a cationic surfactant preferably expressed by the formula II [at least one of R to R is 8-28C (substituted) alkyl or alkenyl and the rest are benzyl, 1-5C alkyl, etc.; Z is halogen or organic anion].

NEW MATERIAL:An aminosufonate of formula I (R is 6-2C alkyl or alkenyl; R is 1-5C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; M is alkali metal ion, ammonium ion, 2-3C mono-, di-or trialkanolammonium ion, 1-5C alkyl-substituted ammonium ion or basic amino acid group). EXAMPLE:Sodium N-(3-dodecyloxy-2-hydroxypropyl)-N-methylamino-2- hydroxypropylsulfonate. USE:A component for detergent compositions. Excellent in foamability and detergency, with low irritation, having mild effect on the skin, therefore, suitable as detergents for hair and skin of infants. PREPARATION:A reaction is made between a compound of formula II and another compound of formula III (X is halogen) to obtain a compound of formula IV, which is then reacted with an amine of formula VI to obtain a compound of formula V. This compound is then made to react with a compound of formula VII, thus obtaining the objective compound of the formula I.

PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent composition giving low irritation to the hair and skin and having excellent detergency, foamability, foam quality, hard water resistance and conditioning property by using a specific quaternary ammonium salt-type cationic surfactant as an active detergent component. CONSTITUTION:The objective detergent composition is produced by using a compound of formula (R1 is straight or branched 7-21C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 to R4 are 1-4C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; X is halogen ion or organic anion) as an active detergent component and optionally compounding conventional amphoteric surfactant, nonionic surfactant, various polymers, perfumery, colorant, antiseptics, antioxidant, thickener, disinfectant, etc. The composition gives creamy and rich foam and is especially suitable as body shampoo and hair shampoo. The effect lasts long even by using water having high hardness (e.g. ground water, hot spring and seawater) as well as tap water.

PURPOSE:To provide a detergent composition containing a betaine-type compound, having high frothing power and cleaning property, resistant to hard water and giving low irritation to the skin and hair. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains a betaine-type compound of formula (R is 8-22C alkyl, alkenyl or hydroxyalkyl; X is H or hydroxy; R and R are 1-4C alkyl; Y is CH2CH(OH)CH2SO3, (CH2)nSO3 or (CH2)mCO2; (n) is 2-5; (m) is 1-3) as an active detergent component. The compound is used in combination with an amphoteric surfactant, an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant and further compounded with proper amounts of various polymers, perfumery, colorant, preservative, antioxidant, thickener, sterilizing agent, antiinflammatory agent, etc. The amount of the compound of formula is preferably 0.1-50wt.% for liquid detergent, 0.1-80wt.% for pasty detergent and 50-99wt.% for solid or powdery detergent.

SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic product comprises a two-component hair cosmetic comprising a first component containing an alkali agent and a second component containing hydrogen peroxide wherein at least either of the first and second components contains a surfactant and a foamer container that sprays a mixture of the first and second components in the form of foam.
