Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for determining Idle mode Signaling Reduction (ISR) activation in a mobile communications system. When a mobility management node decides to activate an ISR feature in an IMS network environment where hetero mobile communications networks (e.g., E-UTRAN and UTRAN/GERAN) interwork with each other, considered are not only whether an ISR feature can be supported, and whether a UE can use IMS voice, but also conditions (information) on whether IMS voice over PS domain can be supported. This may allow a voice call transferred to the UE from the network to be delivered to a domain (PS or CS domain) selected with consideration of an access network state without delay.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of controlling a session in a serving server taking charge of the control plane within a mobile communication network. The control method may include receiving, by the serving server, a tracking area update (TAU) request message of a terminal from a target base station; retrieving, by the serving server, a previous server that has taken charge of the control plane for the terminal; receiving, by the serving server and from the retrieved previous server, a context response message comprising information indicating that a session for the terminal had been established to be passed through a path over the nodes within a fixed network different from a mobile communication network; deciding, by the serving server, whether gateway relocation is needed; releasing, by the serving server, the established session; transmitting, by the serving server, an accept message comprising information for the processing result to the terminal through the target base station; and establishing, by the serving server a session passing through a path over the nodes within a fixed network different from a mobile communication network based on the information.
Abstract:
A disclosure of the present specification provides a method for executing a service request procedure from a user equipment (UE). The method may comprise the steps of: a lower layer of a UE blocking access of an originating call due to access class barring (ACB); an NAS layer of the UE receiving a start indication from an upper layer due to a request for uplink data; and, if the lower layer has indicated that access was blocked for the originating call but the NAS layer has received the start indication, then the NAS layer commencing the service request procedure.
Abstract:
A method and a device for performing a proximity service (ProSe) in a wireless communication system are disclosed. A method by which a user equipment (UE) performs a ProSe in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, can comprise the steps of: determining whether a ProSe operation is enabled at a current location of the UE, on the basis of ProSe feature support related information; performing an evaluation related to the performance of the ProSe operation by using information on proximity criteria if the ProSe operation is enabled; and performing the ProSe operation if the evaluation result satisfies the proximity criteria.
Abstract:
A disclosure of the present invention provides a method for supporting a power saving mode (PSM) in a radio device. According to the method, the radio device may transmit a first message including a first activation time value to a network entity when the radio device requires the PSM. Then, the radio device may receive a second message including a second activation time value from the network entity. The radio device may enter a PSM state on the basis of the second activation time value. When it is necessary to stop the PSM or change the second activation time, the radio device may transmit a third message at the very time point.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system is disclosed. More particularly, a control method and device based on multiple priorities in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method for controlling a back-off timer in a terminal configured with multiple non-access stratum, NAS, signaling priorities, comprises checking if a back-off timer runs due to a rejection of a first request message having a first NAS signaling priority level; and transmitting a second request message without a NAS signaling priority level to a network, when the back-off timer runs due to the rejection, wherein the transmission of the second request message is performed without stopping the back-off timer.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and appraraus for monitoring User Equipment (UE) reachability in a wireless communication system. More specifically, a method for monitoring UE reachability in a wireless communication system comprises receiving, by a Mobile Management Entity (MME), a message for monitoring the UE reachability including UE reachability related indication from a Home Subscriber Server (HSS); and allocating, by the MME, an Active Time to a UE, wherein the UE reachability related indication is used for setting the Active Time of the UE and wherein the UE reachability indication is used for the UE to stay reachable so that downlink data that a server wants to transmit to the UE can be transmitted to the UE.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a paging method and apparatus for an IMS service. A method which supports paging to provide an internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) service to a terminal in a network node in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention may include the steps of: receiving downlink data forwarded to the terminal; when there is a determination to apply differentiated paging to the downlink data, adding information indicating that the differentiated paging is applied, to a message including the downlink data; and transmitting the message including information indicating that the differentiated paging is applied, to another network node.
