    Abstract: A scroll compressor includes: a frame configured to support a second scroll by being coupled to a first scroll; a sealing member insertion groove formed in a ring shape, on at least one of one side surface of the second scroll and one side surface of the frame contacting the second scroll; and a sealing member formed in a ring shape, inserted into the sealing member insertion groove, and configured to divide an interval between the second scroll and the frame in a radial direction, wherein the sealing member is formed such that a sectional surface of an inner circumferential surface thereof is smaller than that of an outer circumferential surface thereof, and such that a second gap between the outer circumferential surface of the sealing member and an outer side wall surface of the sealing member insertion groove is smaller than or equal to a first gap between the inner circumferential surface of the sealing member and an inner side wall surface of the sealing member insertion groove.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor includes a casing, and an internal sealed space in the casing; a drive motor configured with a stator and a rotor which rotates within the stator, and that has an internal flow passage and an external flow passage; a rotation shaft connected to the rotor; a compression unit that includes a first scroll, and a second scroll which is engaged with the first scroll to form a compression chamber, with which the rotation shaft is eccentrically combined; a discharge pipe that communicates with an upper space of the internal space; an oil separation member disposed in the upper space; and a guidance member that is provided between an upper end of the drive motor and a lower end of the discharge pipe and guides the refrigerant with which the oil is mixed, to the oil separation member.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap, and which performs an orbiting motion; and a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap to form a compression chamber including a suction chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber, and a discharge chamber, by being engaged with the orbiting wrap. A wrap thickness of the fixed wrap may be greater than a wrap thickness of the orbiting wrap within a range which forms the suction chamber. With such a configuration, even if the fixed scroll or the orbiting scroll is thermally-expanded, a transformation of the fixed wrap at a suction side may be prevented. This may prevent a gap between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at an opposite side to the suction side, thereby enhancing compression efficiency.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a first compression chamber, a second compression chamber separated from the first compression chamber, and having a greater compression ratio than the first compression chamber, a first discharge port that communicates with the first compression chamber and provided with a first discharge inlet and a first discharge outlet, and a second discharge port separated from the first discharge port, communicating with the second compression chamber, and provided with a second discharge inlet and a second discharge outlet, the second discharge inlet having a larger sectional area than the first discharge inlet. This configuration may prevent a discharge delay in advance in each compression chamber, and thus, preventing a compression loss.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may prevent an oil-feeding hole from being blocked due to a high pressure refrigerant, which is compressed in compression chambers and introduced into the oil-feeding hole through an oil-feeding slit, by blocking one of both end portions of the oil-feeding slit, adjacent to the compression chambers, when the oil-feeding hole is formed through an outer circumferential surface of a bearing and the oil-feeding slit, which communicates with the oil-feeding hole, is formed on the outer circumferential surface. This may allow for smooth oil supply onto the outer circumferential surface of the bearing through the oil-feeding hole, thereby enhancing a bearing performance. Also, the oil-feeding hole or slit may be formed at a closest position to an oil feeding-required section, not within the section. This may allow for quick oil supply into the oil feeding-required section, resulting in further enhanced bearing performance.

    Abstract: A compressor is provided that may include a passage separator provided between an electric motor drive and a compression device to separate a refrigerant passage from an oil passage. The passage separator may include a first partition wall and a second partition wall. The first partition wall may be disposed between an inner circumferential surface of a casing and a discharge hole of the compression device, and the second partition wall may be disposed between the discharge hole and a balance weight. Accordingly, the refrigerant passage may be separated from the oil passage between the compression device and electric motor drive, thereby efficiently recovering oil to an oil storage space.
