Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign matter from entering around a connection part in a connector, and also, to prevent damage of a connection functionnal part through a whole inserting process of a plug. SOLUTION: A connecting jack by plugging in a corresponding plug for connection is equipped with a housing and a biased wobble cover. A plug storing space is formed in the housing, and also, an insertion slot to insert and pull out the plug in and from the plug storing space. The wobble cover has a closed position to substantially block the insertion slot when the plug is not inserted in the plug storing space, and an open position not to substantially block the insertion slot when the plug is inserted in the plug storing space. The wobble cover is equipped with a protruding part to set an insertion limit when the plug is inserted in the plug storing space. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fiber microbending in insert parts of a top part and a bottom part in a crimping area during a crimping process so that attenuation of a fiber is reduced. SOLUTION: A fiber optic connector for terminating an optical fiber is disclosed. The connector comprises a housing 32 having opposed first and second ends, and the housing 32 receives the optical fiber at its first end. An elongated member 36 is retainable in the housing 32, and the elongated member 36 is includes a crimpable portion 42. An insert is disposable within the crimpable portion 42. The crimpable portion 42 of the elongated member 36 is disposed within the housing 32, and the crimpable portion 42 includes opposed first and second ends and a point between the first and second ends. The crimpable portion 42 is tapered from the point toward one of the first and second ends. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-piece cable tie including a support of a locking device which changes from a cantilever beam to a simple beam support when completely coupled. SOLUTION: The cable tie includes a strap 104 with a first end and a free end 138, a locking head having a strap accepting channel 122, and a metal locking device 136 having a mounted end fixed to a support of a locking head and a free end positioned in the strap accepting channel to form a cantilever beam and mounted within an anchoring housing region of the head. It has a central inwardly projecting groove 110 of a predefined width that defines a thinned portion extending along a longitudinal axis of the strap to the free end of the strap. The strap accepting channel has a channel width defined between an end wall and an inner wall. A ledge 116 that provides a support surface of the metal locking device and a V-shaped groove at the free end to improve flexibility of the strap are provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular connector with an improved crosstalk performance.SOLUTION: In a crosstalk compensation device for a modular type communication connector, a jack has first to eighth plug interface contacts 24. The crosstalk compensation device comprises a flexible printed circuit mechanically and electrically connected with the plug interface contacts via first to eighth flexible connecting extension parts of the flexible printed circuit at a first end. The first and eighth flexible connecting extension parts of the flexible printed circuit are longer than the second to seventh connecting extension parts. The flexible printed circuit is mechanically and electrically connected with a network cable connector at a second end, and is arranged adjacent to a plug/jack interface 54 and opposite to the plug/jack interface. The flexible printed circuit has a variable compensation area for reducing NEXT compensation as a communication frequency increases.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a documentation system for a network having a source device which is connected to a network which is connected to a destination device. SOLUTION: A documentation system has a data port which includes an electronic module with an identification code on the network path, a destination device includes an electronic module with an identification code, and a source device has the capability to send query signals along the network path addressed to a data port and destination device corresponding to the network path. The electronic module corresponding to the data port responds to the query addressed to the data port by transmitting its identification code to the source device, and the electronic module of the destination device responds to the query addressed to the destination device by transmitting its identification code to the source device. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp which guides and fixes a cable through a cable control system. SOLUTION: The clamp contains a main body member and a latch member integrally formed with the main body member. The main body member contains the latch member containing at least one cable guide and an arm extending in outward direction. The latch member pivots from opened position to closed position on the main body member. Each arm is disposed on the cable guide in order to fix the cable located to the cable guide when the latch member is in the closed position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for connecting work and to effectively utilize materials such as an optical fiber connector or the like. SOLUTION: The optical fiber connector is a stub fiber type optical fiber connector in which termination is made by inserting a fiber having a buffer layer. A ferrule is provided with a stub fiber which is fitted into a hole formed on the ferrule and extended to the external. The ferrule is at least partially stored in a housing and is supported by the housing. The connector is provided with a reversible operation member to conduct a reversible operation and the inserted fiber is terminated into the stub fiber in a reversible and nondestructive manner. Moreover, the connector is provided with a buffer layer clamp member which is engaged with the buffer layer, so that when the fiber is terminated, stress being applied to the fiber is reversibly and nondestructively interrupted. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and surely cause a locked state by enhancing the tensile strength of a cable tie. SOLUTION: The cable tie has a slender metal strap, a locking head, and a rolling body means. The head is mounted to the first end of the strap. The second end on the opposite side of the strap is inserted to the head. The head has a strap inserting end and a strap drawing end. The rolling body means causes the locked state by being engaged with the strap. The head has a holding means to capture and hold the rolling body means inside the head. The rolling body means can move between a strap insertion permitting position which is adjacent to the strap drawing end and the holding means, and a locking position which is a nearer position to the strap inserting end from the strap insertion permitting position. A ratio of the distance from the point on an edge at a ceiling to the center of the rolling body means located in the strap insertion permitting position and the diameter of the rolling body means is made to be less than 1.7.
