Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which possesses a high capacity as wall as a high stability, even in the case that it is charged or discharged in the environment of high temperatures. SOLUTION: In the nonaquenous electrolyte battery 1, possessing the positive electrode 2 having a positive electrode active substance layer containing at least a positive electrode active substance, a negative electrode 4 having a negative electrode active substance layer containing at least a negative electrode active, substance, and an electrolyte, a sulfur compound is added into not less than one of the positive electrode active substance layer, the negative electrode active substance layer or the electrolyte.
