    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record an information signal such as a television video signal so as to be able to understand its contents to some degree by utilizing efficiently a recording medium of a large capacity. SOLUTION: When the level of a video signal forming a television signal being an information signal and an acoustic signal are detected and the level of these both signals in a prescribed level or higher, the television signal is recorded in a recording medium such as a hard disk. When either one of both signals is the prescribed level or higher, it can be performed that only a video signal is recorded or only an acoustic signal is recorded. Both signal are a prescribed level or lower, since recording in a standby state is not performed, efficient utilization of a recording medium can be achieved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an information signal reproducing device capable of outputting the contents of sound signals in a reverse reproduction mode by reversely reading information signals including the sound signals stored at a predetermined time interval. CONSTITUTION: At the time of the reverse reproduction mode, the sound signals which are reproducing signal processed are supplied to a sound/silence detection circuit 9, the discrimination of a sound section and a silence section is performed and a discriminated result is supplied to a system controller 10. Then, the sound signals of the sound section are written in a sound signal memory circuit 6 at the time reversely inputted from a time setting input terminal 13. Also, video signals which are reproducing signal processed are supplied to a video signal memory circuit 5 and only the sound section is written. The video signals and the sound signals written in the memory circuits 5 and 6 are read reversely stored signals, DA converted and outputted. Thus, sound output capable of understanding the contents in the reverse reproduction mode is made possible.

Thus, the user is prevented from feeling incompatibility or being irritated.

Then, when the phase modulation signal is not contained in the readout output signal RSa, the readout output signal RSa is automatically supplied to an information reproducing part (PSK demodulation part) 27 via the switching parts 19 and 31. By this method, the recorded information can appropriately be read out and reproduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the fluctuation of an error rate by reproducing a carrier signal from a reading phase modulating PSK signal and executing the level adjustment for a reproducing carrier and a PSK signal in accordance with the recording frequency characteristic of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A reading phase modulating PSK signal obtained from a recording medium is inputted to a carrier reproducing part 43 and carrier signals C1' and C2' are reproduced. The reproducing carriers C1' and C2', when a magnetic tape is an oxide tape, has a level larger than the time of the metal tape and supplied to a PSK demodulating part 42. The PSK signal is supplied through an equalizer 40 to the demodulating part 42, and in phase detecting parts 68 and 69, the level adjustment for the signal is executed in accordance with the recording frequency characteristic of a recording medium. Thus, the fluctiation of the error rate in reproducing digital data is suppressed and faithful reproducing digital data are obtained.
