Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance print accuracy while reducing the manufacturing cost and throughput of a print system by supplying an input acoustic power to the print system and generating acoustic power of a specified power level thereby suppressing fluctuation of output power. SOLUTION: An acoustic ink print member comprising a glass layer and a piezoelectric layer is connected with a radio frequency RF power supply through a cable and provided, on the other side, with a liquid level control plate having a lens and an opening. Ink is held between the liquid level control plate and the glass layer and a droplet is ejected from the ink surface. In order to enhance uniformity of acoustic power on the surface, an output power level higher than a power level Ponset corresponding to the start of nonlinearity of the system and shown by a formula is generated as an output to the system. In the formula, α is the density of liquid, c is the sound velocity in the liquid, βis the nonlinearity coefficient of the liquid, F is the ratio between the focal length of a lens and the diameter of the opening, and f is the frequency of sound wave.
