Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a soil cultivation machine (1) with a machine frame (3) supporting a seed container (4). Sowing shares (11), a driving wheel (9) and curry-combs (12) are articulated to said frame so as to be lifted from an operative position to a resting position. A support (5) pivotable about an axis extending transversally to the seeder (2) is arranged on the rear of the machine frame (3) and the sowing shares (11), the driving wheel (9) and the curry-combs (12) are fastened to said support (5). The structural outlay for lifting is consequently extremely low.
Abstract:
A direct drill seeding unit comprising a coulter wheel (5), a pair of depth control wheels (7) and a splitter (9) where the main components of the seeding unit are pivoted on an elongate arm (1) which is connected to a common or main frame (3). The pivotal movement of the unit allows a gang of the seeding units to follow undulating land in a very faithful manner. Furthermore the splitter (9) is capable of variable height and angle relative to the ground level according to the vertical position of the elongate arm such that as the arm moves up the splitter shall automatically compensate by lowering in order to maintain contact with the soil. The adjustment of the splitter is effected by the trapezoid configuration of the 4 pivoting points and the ''L'' shaped common linkages (4).

Abstract:
A mounting assembly for a hopper of an agricultural row unit includes a mounting bracket configured to couple to one of the hopper or a frame of the agricultural row unit. The mounting bracket has a first recess and a second recess, the first recess is configured to engage a rod while the hopper is in an engagement position and in a mounting position, the second recess is configured to engage the rod while the hopper is in a mounted position, and the rod is configured to couple to the other of the hopper or the frame. In addition, the mounting assembly includes a support bracket configured to couple to one of the hopper or the frame. The support bracket includes a first protrusion and a second protrusion, and the first and second protrusions form a recess.
Abstract:
An agricultural row unit including a large capacity seed hopper and hopper lid configured for magnetic retention of the lid. Various implementations also include a built-in support stand. The hopper lid and magnetic retention allow for one handed removal and replacement of the hopper lid, increasing overall efficiency.
Abstract:
A seed meter includes a meter housing having a first chamber for seeds and a second chamber. A seed disk is rotatably supported within the meter housing and has a first side and a second side. The first side is exposed to the first chamber and the second side is exposed to the second chamber. The seed disk includes a plurality of seed openings that extend between the first and second sides at a predetermined radial position. A singulator is positioned against the first side of the seed disk and has at least one structure for removing excess seeds from the seed openings as the seed meter disk rotates relative to the singulator. A radial position of the singulator is controlled at least in part by a hub portion of the seed meter. A biasing spring is positioned to exert an axially-oriented bias force pressing the singulator against the first side of the seed meter disk.
Abstract:
A liquid application apparatus for applying liquid to soil during a planting operation, having: a ground-engaging component mounted to a planter row unit, the planter row unit opening a planting trench, the planter row unit depositing seeds in the planting trench, the ground-engaging component disposed at least partially within said planting trench as the planter row unit traverses the field; a first liquid injection conduit mounted to said ground-engaging component and disposed to inject liquid into a first sidewall of said planting trench, and wherein said ground-engaging component is mounted in a housing via at least one of a height adjustment arm that is pivotably mounted in the housing to allow for height adjustment of said ground-engaging component, and a spring that is pivotably mounted in the housing to allow for vertical deflection of said ground-engaging component.
