Abstract:
A waste collection apparatus (20) adapted for mounting on a vehicle chassis (10), said waste collection apparatus (20) having a plurality of storage compartments (23, 34, 36, 50, 60) for the separate collection of different types of waste for facilitating recycling, said apparatus (20) including means for facilitating emptying said plurality of storage compartments (22, 34, 36, 50, 60) at a recycling facility.
Abstract:
A stackable refuse collection container including a body having a bottom and an open top, the body constructed to be nestingly stacked with at least one similar body through the open top. A cover is formed to engage the body and close the top. An engagement mechanism is coupled to the body and the cover, the engagement the cover onto the body to allow compaction of refuse therein, and a disengaged position permitting removal of the cover from the open top. A loading door is formed in an end of the body for receiving refuse from a compactor mechanism.
Abstract:
A manual/automatic side loading and rear discharge refuse collection truck body is as disclosed which incorporates full ejection without truck body tipping. A packing system is as provided which includes a low profile packer panel (50) which operates in a low profile charging material receiving hopper (24) which also features lowered or dropped floor to facilitate optional manual loading. The charging hopper (24) features a low profile which creates a dropped area beneath the forward portion of the storage enclosure (22) so that material deposited in the charging hopper (24) can be fed by the packing system into the storage enclosure (22) through a bottom forward charging opening (38). A packer-ejector assist panel (46) is provided to assist in clearing material from the dropped area portion of the charging hopper (24).
Abstract:
This invention refers to a self-transported or towed equipment whose purpose is to collect, compact, and bag domestic, industrial and farming waste. The equipment is made up of a chassis (1) supporting a closed body (2) that is opened at both ends and has a back cover (4) to close the body and a moveable front compression plate (5). A clasping device of the accordion-like tube encircles the back part of the body (1). A bag sealing mechanism (3), operated by hydraulic cylinders (35, 36) and pliers (31) presses the loaded bag and squeezes it so as to place a sealing band manually. The lower part of the back cover (4) pivots on the chassis through a hydraulic cylinder (41) which is placed at the bottom of the chassis (1) and pulls cables (42) through grooved pulleys (43). The compression plate (5) is operated through a hydraulic system (6) made up of telescopic arms (61) propelled by independent hydraulics cylinders (62).
Abstract:
A refuse collection container for mounting on a vehicle. The container (4) is particularly suitable for separating and compacting recyclable materials due to the provision of a longitudinally extending diagonal partition (30). The container has a pair of refuse receiving buckets (54) preferably adapted to be raised into alignment with apertures (40, 42) in the front wall (18) of the container. Recyclable materials, sorted by type in the buckets, are then moved into the container by a compactor blade (100, 102) in each bucket. Discharge of the materials is facilitated by providing for swinging movement of the partition prior to the vehicle being in the dumping position. The partition is extensible so that when positioned diagonally with respect to side walls (22) of the container, the partition extends to the discharge end of the container.
Abstract:
A packing system for in a front loading refuse collection vehicle (10) includes a hopper (18), a compacting body (20), a packing blade (80), and a pushing mechanism (152, 154). The hopper (18) has opposing side walls (100), a floor (98), a front end and an open rear end, wherein the hopper (18) has an open top for receiving refuse therein. The compacting body (20) is operatively connected to the open rear end of the hopper (18). A packing blade (80) is disposed in the hopper (18) for pushing the refuse from the hopper (18) into the compacting body (20). Furthermore, a pushing mechanism (152, 154) is attached to a front end of the hopper (18) and also to the packing blade (80), for pushing the packing blade (80), and thus the refuse, toward the compacting body (20) to compact the refuse in the compacting body (20). Furthermore, the packing blade (80) and extends horizontally from one side wall (100) to the other side wall (100) of the hopper (18) and extends vertically from the floor (98) to a position only partially to the top of the hopper (18).
Abstract:
Dust cart comprising a rear part (3) with a loading device for introducing the waste into the vehicle by known means and lifting and tipping means (4) to empty the waste containers. Parts of the rear or at least the lifting and tipping means (4) fastened thereto or the fastening means (2) thereof are flexibly coupled with each other with the result that they cause the height of the entire rear section to fall when it is swung down and substantially horizontal.
Abstract:
A vehicle for collecting and transporting rubbish with a container (2) removably fitted on the vehicle behind the cab and having a filling aperture (6) at the cab end and a device for accepting at least one rubbish container which empties said container into a hopper fitted behind the cab and co-operating with a press (12), the outlet aperture of which is allocated to the filler aperture (6) of the collection container (2) arranged in the lower region of the front wall, which is bounded on the front wall (5) of the container by a frame (16) to which is allocated a counter-frame (17) at the outlet aperture of the press (12), in which a seal (17.1) is arranged on the front of at least one of the frames (17, 16).
Abstract:
A garbage truck (10) comprises a container (11) typically formed of sheet metal material. Container (11) is divided by a dividing wall (15) into first and second compartments (12 and 13) respectively. A lifting device is attached to the side of the truck (10) and is adapted to lift refuse to an opening (24) in container (11). A chute (17) is adapted to transfer material to the first compartment (12). Whereas material to be delivered to the second compartment (13) simply passes through opening (24). A pushing block (18) is activated to transfer the material in either of the first and second compartments (12, 13) toward the rear of the vehicle.
Abstract:
Known vehicles for the disposal of waste materials have a collecting container arranged on the vehicle behind the driver's cab and provided at its end on the driver's cab side with a filling opening, as well as a pair of swivelling arms provided with a carrying and tilting device that picks up at least one waste container positioned in front of the front side of the vehicle, moves the picked-up waste container over the driver's cab and empties it in the area of the filling opening of the collecting container behind the driver's cab. The known vehicles require however a great working height, which precisely is often not available in communal waste disposal. To improve such vehicles, a carrier (39) is arranged on the vehicle and the pair (25) of swivelling arms is secured to the carrier (39) with its pivot (26) in the upper front area of the driver's cab (1).
