A method for direct sampling of a plurality of radio bands, including a step of receiving a first radio band via a first interface and at least one additional radio band via at least one additional interface, the first radio band and the at least one additional radio band each being associated with different frequency ranges, and the first radio band or the at least one additional radio band being a DAB band. Furthermore, a selection signal is received via an interface, the selection signal indicating whether further processing of the first radio band and/or the at least one additional radio band takes place. Depending on the selection signal, the first radio band is sampled at a common sampling frequency and/or the at least one additional radio band is sampled at the common sampling frequency.

A broadcasting mobile terminal communication method and the broadcasting mobile terminal are disclosed. The method includes displaying a list of broadcast files stored on the terminal, in which at least one of the broadcast files is associated with broadcast related data stored on the terminal, and the broadcasting related data allows a user to obtain additional information about the at least one broadcast file. The method also includes selecting a broadcast file that is associated with broadcast related data, and connecting to an entity that provides the additional information about the at least one broadcast file.

Provided are a method and apparatus for providing an Internet Protocol Datacasting (IPDC) service. The IPDC service providing apparatus includes a data input unit generating an IP packet and signaling information of the IP packet; a packet generation control unit determining a type of an Internet Protocol Data Group (IPDG) packet that is to be generated by encapsulating the IP packet, on the basis of characteristics of the IPDC service; an IPDG packet generation unit generating an IPDG packet according to a data type of the IP packet, and generating an IPDG packet for the signaling information of the IP packet; a transfer stream packet generation unit generating the IPDG packet as a transfer stream packet; and a transfer unit transmitting the transfer stream packet. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an IPDC service while efficiently using a bandwidth, in a Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) system.

A method of providing a digital broadcast and apparatus for receiving a digital broadcast are disclosed, by which a CA (conditional access) digital broadcast can be temporarily provide to enable a digital broadcast user to easily decide whether to subscribe to a pay broadcasting service by allowing the broadcast user to temporarily access the pay broadcasting service without necessary qualification or condition. The present invention generates a digital broadcast transmission frame for digital broadcast content including time-limited broadcast reception admission information to enable the digital broadcast to be received for a limited time.

A method of upgrading software through a software download in a T-DMB terminal includes the steps of confirming, by the T-DMB terminal, an announcement message containing information for announcing when the software is downloaded by receiving a T-DMB signal and analyzing a plurality of fast information groups (FIGs), determining whether the software is downloaded according to information contained in the announcement message, if it is determined that the software is downloaded, storing ensemble information and download start time information among the information contained in the announcement message; matching a current ensemble with the stored ensemble when time according to the download start time information elapses, and confirming a signaling message for informing that the software is downloaded by analyzing an FIG received through the matched ensemble, and downloading the software.

A terrestrial DMB receiver using an imaginary channel in a terrestrial DMB system is disclosed. The terrestrial DMB receiver includes: a key input unit for receiving an input from a user; a display unit for providing image output to the user; an imaginary channel storage unit for storing information on imaginary channels designated to each broadcasting service by the user; a DMB receiving unit for receiving terrestrial DMB broadcasting; a MCI/SI analyzer for analyzing MCI and SI of FIC information from a DMB broadcasting signal received through the DMB receiving unit; and a controller for searching for the imaginary channel storage unit according to values of number keys input from the key input unit, extracting service IDs, controlling the DMB receiving unit to select broadcasting services according to the extracted service IDs, checking the information analyzed through the MCI/SI analyzer, and performing an update for the imaginary channel storage unit.

A bid request is sent to the digital demand side platform based at least in part on the indication. An indication of a winning bid for the terrestrial broadcast ad spot is received. A creative ad content associated with the winning bid is caused to be included in the terrestrial broadcast at a time associated with the terrestrial broadcast ad spot.

A hybrid satellite/terrestrial wireless network having a plurality of terrestrial cells and satellite coverage areas is disclosed. A multiplex transmitted in a terrestrial cell may include signaling information for neighboring terrestrial cells and neighboring satellite coverage areas. The signaling information may include indicators identifying different profiles for the hybrid satellite/terrestrial network, and include other information enabling handover from the terrestrial cell multiplex to one of the neighboring terrestrial or satellite multiplexes.
