The present invention relates to, for example, an electronic apparatus, a control method, and a program that are capable of realizing an image-capturing system that is more intelligent than existing systems and useful for the user, and to the image-capturing system. The image-capturing system includes a digital still camera 1 including an image-capturing unit that performs image capture so as to obtain a captured image, and a tripod head 10 that changes the field of view of the image-capturing unit by driving a movable mechanism. The tripod head 10 outputs a signal in accordance with the movement of the tripod head 10 from a stationary state, and the digital still camera 1 determines whether or not movement from the stationary state has occurred on the basis of the input signal, and performs predetermined control on the basis of the determination result. The present invention can be applied to an image-capturing system that is constituted by, for example, a digital still camera and a tripod head.

A communication apparatus detects that a short range wireless connection with an external device is established in response to a change of distance between the communication apparatus and the external device. The communication apparatus transmits, in a case where it is detected that the short range wireless connection with the external device is established while first image is being displayed on a display unit, image data, which is specified based on the first image that was displayed at the time of detection, to the external device, wherein transmitting the image data is started without receiving a user's operation after it is detected that the short range wireless connection is established. The communication apparatus controls the display unit to change a display according to the transmission.

The system includes the digital camera (300) and a docking unit (350). The digital camera includes a lens (312) for providing an optical image; an image sensor (314) for receiving the optical image provided by the lens (312) to produce an image signal; a processor (320) responsive to the image signal for producing the plurality of digital video segments; a digital memory (330) for storing the plurality of digital video segments; a color image display (332) for reviewing the digital video segments; and a docking interface (322) to permit the digital camera (300) to be connected to the docking unit (350). The docking unit (350) includes a connector for receiving the docking interface (322) in the digital camera (300) and for connecting the digital camera (300) to the docking unit (350); and a recorder (360) for recording onto the separate storage medium. The digital camera (300), responsive to a user effort, transfers the plurality of digital video segments to the docking unit (350), and the docking unit (350) records the plurality of digital video segments onto the separate storage medium.
