Abstract:
A transmission device includes: a storage unit that holds test data used for checking occurrence/nonoccurrence of a communication abnormality; a serial conversion unit that converts image data to be transmitted and the test data stored in the storage unit into serial data; a transmission unit that transmits the serial data converted by the serial conversion unit to a reception device; and an initialization unit that, when an instruction of particular initialization is inputted, performs initialization on other circuits than the storage unit without performing initialization on the storage unit.
Abstract:
An adapter capable of communicating with an image supply device and an image output device and allowing direct printing even when a plurality of images are transferred at the same time from image supply devices. The adapter transmits a print request associated with a first image to the image output device. If acquisition of a second image is completed before acquisition of the first image completed, the adapter transfers the second image instead of the first image as the image to be printed.
Abstract:
In an image display device figured to be connected to a network, a method of communicating over the network with a remote device on the network is disclosed. The method includes receiving a message sent to a multicast address on the network by the remote device, wherein the message includes an instruction to the image display device to perform a function; and performing the function instructed by the message.
Abstract:
A multiple control station (201) transmits a first broadcast frame including a first identifier for identifying a first host (202) and a second broadcast frame including a second identifier for identifying a second host (203) to a terminal station (52) over a wireless channel using time division. The multiple control station then receives a connection request frame that requests connection with the first host (202) or the second host (203) from the terminal station (52). Arbitration is then performed so that the terminal station is connected to the first host or the second host in accordance with the first identifier or the second identifier included in the received connection request frame.
Abstract:
An interface for facilitating facsimile transmission via a wireless communications device operatively connected to a wireless communications network, including: a modem suitable for being communicatively coupled to a facsimile machine; a controller coupled to the modem; and, a memory operatively coupled to the controller. The interface includes code to cause the modem to transmit a retrain request to the facsimile machine upon expiration of a given temporal period. The interface includes a circuit for selectively generating a ring signal corresponding to a plain old telephone service ring signal. The interface includes a circuit for selectively generating a hold signal corresponding to a plain old telephone service hold signal. And, the circuit includes code to cause the modem to transmit data indicative of white lines to the facsimile machine upon expiration of a given temporal period.
Abstract:
A relaying apparatus of the present invention is interposed between a device and a printer and controls the operation of the device by checking the status of the printer. The relaying apparatus has a microcomputer that causes an IrDA unit to negotiate with a printer. The printer has a microcomputer that associates a setting state of a print data correction switch with an equipment name and gives the equipment name to the relaying apparatus when a negotiation begins. The microcomputer of the relaying apparatus performs image processing based on the equipment name obtained from the printer and does not request the device to send new image data while the printer is operating according to the setting state of the print data correction switch.

Abstract:
The subject of the invention is a method for downloading data from multiple cameras for omnidirectional image recording, and a device for downloading data from multiple cameras for omnidirectional image recording, used to download the data from data from multiple cameras at once. It is characterised by the cameras being connected to USB ports of the integrator (1), whereas the charging current of each of the cameras (2) connected to the integrator is limited, then a connection being opened to each of the cameras (2) connected to the integrator and the memories made available by individual cameras (2) being mounted as sub-folders of a dedicated folder, after which the dedicated folder is made available and the integrator (1) is connected by an USB cable (3) to a computer's USB port and a connection is started with the integrator (1), where N threads are started and data are downloaded from the folders made available by the cameras (2) and mapped by the integrator (1) in N threads. The device is characterised by a set of cameras (2) being connected directly through USB ports (3) to an integrator (1), which opens a connection with each of the cameras (2) and mounts the memory resource which is made available by the camera (2) as a sub-folder of the main folder, after which the main folder with mapped sub-folders is made available to the user's computer through an USB port.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a multimedia system using a mobile communication terminal and an external connection device for the same. The multimedia system uses a video/audio output device, a peripheral device, and an external connection device. The multimedia system includes a mobile communication terminal having a video/audio output function and a peripheral device control function so that the mobile communication terminal outputs images and sounds by using the video/audio output device and controls the peripheral device; and an external connection device for connecting the mobile communication terminal to the video/audio output device and the peripheral device, relaying the images and sounds from the mobile communication terminal to the video/audio output device, and relaying data transmitted/received between the mobile communication terminal and the peripheral device. When multimedia data is reproduced by using a mobile communication terminal, it is easily connected to an external video/audio output device (e.g. a TV) or a peripheral device (e.g. a computer, a mouse, a joystick) to construct a multimedia system.
