Abstract:
A vibrating mirror element (100) includes a base member (10), a substrate (20) made of metal, integrally formed with a mirror portion (21), a movable portion (22) swingably supporting the mirror portion from both sides and functioning as a lower electrode, and a mounting portion (23) supporting the movable portion and mounted on the base member, a piezoelectric film (32) provided on the movable portion of the substrate and vibrating the mirror portion by application of a periodic voltage, and an upper electrode (33) provided on the piezoelectric film.
Abstract:
A rotation stabilizing device (11) comprises a rotary member (12) rotated around a rotating center axis; an inertia member (13) vibrating in accordance with change of rotating speed of the rotary member; and a viscoelastic connector (24) for detachably connecting the inertia member to the rotary member, wherein the viscoelastic connector has viscosity and elasticity so as to change form in accordance with vibration of the inertia member. The inertia member is connected to at least one of an outer side and an inner side of the rotary member at a same phase in a direction of the rotating center axis of the rotary member by the viscoelastic connector.
Abstract:
A translation system comprising: a linear support having first and second opposite ends; a carriage slidably mounted on said support for movement in reciprocal linear directions between said first and second ends of said support; a rotary drive rotatable in opposite rotary directions located at one end of said support; a rotatable member mounted at the other end of said support; and a multiple cable assembly attached to said carriage and extending around said rotary drive and said rotatable member moving said carriage in said reciprocal linear directions as a function of rotation of said rotary drive in said opposite rotary directions.
Abstract:
The invention provides a scanner system which in one embodiment includes only a single moving part in the document path, namley a drive roll, which serves not only to move the document through the system, but also to provide a backing against which the document is pushed while a proximate region thereof is being scanned. The invention in an embodiment also provides an opto-mechanical assembly that is shock-mounted to the frame of the system at only three-spaced apart locations, so that the assembly tends to be isolated from vibration and torsional forces.
Abstract:
A method, processor, and non-transitory computer-readable medium are disclosed for real-time video stabilization and encoding in a single motion estimation pass for each frame. The method includes performing motion estimation on a stabilized current frame and determining a global motion vector using motion estimation information obtained in the performing of motion estimation on the stabilized current frame. A subsequent frame in a video stream is stabilized using this global motion vector. Motion estimation is performed on the stabilized subsequent frame.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus comprises: a guide portion that is linked to a driving portion and extends so as to guide the movement of a reading carriage; a guide rail that guides the reading carriage while supporting the reading carriage; and an interlocking portion that is provided in the reading carriage, has a first sliding surface that makes contact with the guide rail on the side of the guide rail facing the guide portion and a second sliding surface that makes contact with the guide rail on the side of the guide rail that is on the opposite side as the guide portion. The position at which the first sliding surface of the interlocking portion makes contact with the guide rail is lower on the guide rail than the position at which the second sliding surface of the interlocking portion makes contact with the guide rail.
