Abstract:
The aim of the invention is to improve the recording of an image from a display unit or an area, particularly a mirror-reflective surface. Said aim is achieved by an image-recording device which comprises an image-recording unit and an image-supporting surface, and in which the optical axis of the image-recording unit is arranged at an angle a relative to a normal line of the image-supporting surface.
Abstract:
To make it possible to draw an image as intended. A printing device 1 displays a previewed image on a surface for printing (printing paper or a surface for pasting a print) to allow the user to preview how content data will be printed. As the user adjusts the previewed image to obtain intended results, an image identical to the image being previewed is printed on the printing paper. This makes it easy to print desired content. Specifically, since the user can verify an image displayed on the surface on which the image will be actually printed or pasted, it is poss ible to prevent the actual print produced or pasted on the printing paper from differing from the user's expectations.
Abstract:
A device (102) for electronically capturing an image (108) on a whiteboard (100), storing the image and then putting the captured image back onto the whiteboard (100) using dry erase ink in an inkjet printhead array. The image capture portion of the device (102) may include an image capture array that is a whiteboard-wide-array of image capture elements. The image replace portion of the device (102) may include a whiteboard-wide-array of inkjet printhead elements. The data storage portion of the device (102) may either be on the device or off of the device or both. The device(102) may also be capable of interactive whiteboard image manipulation from a remote location via the Internet, telecommunications, facsimile, infrared, modem, or other known electronic data transmission means.
Abstract:
A large area scanning system (10) for use in scanning very large documents includes a table (12) and scanning mechanism (16) on which is located a scanner head (14). The scanner head includes an illumination mechanism and a camera for receiving light reflected from a document on the table. The scanning system (10) is characterized by a controller (18) which initially scans the document in a series of strips (106) and generates therefrom reformatted data in the form of a sequence of scan lines. To increase operating speed, the controller (18) provides for data compression with bilevel data.
Abstract:
Method to scan textile models, which is suitable to read images and convert them into electrical signals of a numerical type, the textile models (11) being positioned on a stationary reading table (10) and the electrical signals being sent to a data processing unit (15), in which method the textile models (11) have large dimensions and are positioned stationarily on the reading table (10) and the reading is performed with a high definition through a lens (19) by a photoscanning element (21) able to move along axes lying at a right angle to each other (X-Y) in the presence of a local illumination system (20) able to move in coordination with the photoscanning element (21). Device to scan textile models , which employs the above method and in which the system to scan the images consists of a movable unit (14) that bears a lens (19), a CCD linear sensor (21)and a local illumination device (20), the movable unit (14) being able to run on a transverse guide (13) driven by a first motor (23) with an encoder (24), the transverse guide (13) in turn being able to run on lengthwise guides (12) driven by a second motor (26) with an encoder (27) and solidly fixed to the reading table (10).
Abstract:
An electronic print board comprising: a recording medium formed by a flexible sheet for recording erasable recordings and/or drawings or for holding a data sheet thereon, a mechanism for moving said recording medium, a scanning system for scanning the writings and/or drawings or data carried on a data sheet secured on the recording medium and providing electric signals corresponding to the writings and/or drawings or the data, operating unit including sheet size selecting switches, an image memory for storing data corresponding to the writings and/or drawings or the data carried on a data sheet secured on the recording medium. A control circuit for controlling the scanning operation of the scanning system, reading data from the image memory and printing the data on a printing sheet, and a reading and printing unit for reading data from the image memory and printing the data read from the image memory under the control of the control circuit. The electronic print board is capable of scanning the entire area of the surface of the recording medium or only a limited area of the same corresponding to a size of sheet selected, of printing the data corresponding the entire area of the recording medium or only the data within a limited area corresponding to a size of a data sheet selected by means of one of the sheet size selecting switches, and of producing one copy or a plurality of copies of the same data.
Abstract:
A surface object comprises a surface with a boundary, the surface having a background color. At least one optical marker is provided on the surface for assisting of image processing for improving appearance of an image of the surface with the boundary. At least one optical marker includes at least one color which is lighter or darker than the background color and the color different ΔE between the background color and the at least one color of the optical marker being between ΔE=2 and ΔE=18.
